I've just realised how busy I am, and that electronic planners are not always best. Do you use filofax-style planners? Any recommendations?

I bullet journal but it's not for everyone. There are websites and loads of YouTube videos on it.

I looked at a LOT and found Box Clever press. Lots of space for notes. Sat and Sun are SAME SIZE. Pocket at back for random bits of paper. Holder for pen. Love.

I use electronic planners and also an old-fashioned diary. However, the issue with going the filofax/diary route, is that you have to remember to actually check the bleedin thing - which I rarely do.

The handiest thing for me is a large calendar that hangs in my kitchen, on a cupboard door that I frequently access. I have no choice but to look at the calendar and therefore it reminds me of things. Certainly not fool proof (I have to remember to actually write things on the calendar Hmm )

I really like the Box Clever press academic diary, but less keen on the cover because of the round through zip. I love the kikki k large planners but not so keen on the lack of academic planner. Or is it possible to buy an academic planner that slots in the kikki k leather planner?

Think some kikki k planners are a5, so will take inserts from other systems, at least that seems the case on looking at DD's planner.

Personally, I use a filofax that is personal size and zips up and also is a purse, so money and diary together.

I like this but am I demented wanting to spend over £50 on a planner??

I use a personal sized filofax. I’ve got a few, including A5, and a much nicer Kikki K one but I much prefer my increasingly tatty raspberry leather Finsbury. I have a week on two pages diary, and an address section. I took out all the other stuff as I didn’t use it. It works for me.

Ocies · 20/06/2019 19:57

I’m thinking of going back to filofax. It worked so well for me I’m not sure why I stopped using it! The act of writing something down with an actual pen on paper seems to help cement it in my brain.

GenerationPolaroid · 20/06/2019 20:51

So you're all telling met to buy it...

I have just ordered a new one from Personal Planner. £23.90, including delivery (based in Sweden) and you can customise the layout, start month, cover designs, everything really! Can even put colouring or sudoku sheets in the back.

JanetandJohn500 · 20/06/2019 22:03

I got one of these https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F143185450846 and I really like it

MulticolourMophead · 21/06/2019 13:36

I have one like this from Filofax (older colour). I got it for £17, a shop was selling their last one.

I love that I have my money and diary together. Although, for some things, I do just carry round a tiny purse with the essentials in.
