If you've had an ectopic pregnancy and you had symptoms, what were they?

Symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy
An ectopic pregnancy doesn't always cause symptoms and may only be detected during a routine pregnancy scan.
If you do have symptoms, they tend to develop between the 4th and 12th week of pregnancy.
Symptoms can include a combination of:
a missed period and other signs of pregnancy

tummy pain low down on 1 side
vaginal bleeding or a brown watery discharge
pain in the tip of your shoulder
discomfort when peeing or pooing
But these symptoms aren't necessarily a sign of a serious problem. They can sometimes be caused by other problems, such as a stomach bug.
Read more about the symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy.
When to get medical advice
Contact your GP or call NHS 111 if you have a combination of any of the above symptoms and you might be pregnant – even if you haven't had a positive pregnancy test.

None of the normal symptoms but a huge pain between bum and vagina, I could hardly move/walk. I thought it was constipation 🙈 Hope you're OK

Same as PP, which for me started off as pressure when I had a full bladder, needed a no 2 or sat down quickly. Over about 3 weeks it got worse to the point it was excruciating pressure and then sharp breathtaking pain the day I ended up in hospital. Also dark stringy discharge, rusty blood loss, and I had a one off bout of low down pain early on which felt like trapped wind but in my ovary and radiated into my hip and thigh.

If you have anything listed on the NHS or ectopic trust websites get a referral to EPU (or walk in if permitted where you are). They will take you seriously and monitor you.

Nothing. I had an odd period ( one v heavy and odd coloured blood and one very light). Then sore boobs/nausea which made me test and got strong positives both times. Nothing else.

Neither one could be seen on scans and they were only diagnosed via laparoscopy. The first one was apparently about 24 hrs away from bursting and I was about 9 weeks by the time it was removed.

Second one was identified earlier only because I was being monitored. My blood tests even rose as expected (didn't quite double but almost).
