Buying new kitchen - where to start?

This probably sounds a bit stupid, but we've been left some money unexpectedly and have a really good budget to buy a new kitchen which we've wanted since we bought our house five years ago. Kitchen is a reasonable size, not huge but fine and the only thing I know is that I want to replace the old range oven with similar. That's from Rangemaster so I can look on their website.

Only thing is I don't know where to start with anything else 🤦‍♀️ This is my first owned property, I've no idea what I even want or where to look.

Do I go to a shop and get them to spec up, somewhere specialised - where?

Also does anyone know where I can look for inspiration?

We went to Ikea and they designed it for us, gave us the plans so we shopped around a bit but ended up buying from ikea and having someone else instal it. Look at Wren they have a sale on at the moment.

Best option is to go to somewhere like b&q or wickes etc. They can offer a whole package. If you think how many different components go into making a new kitchen (plumbing, electric, units, tiling, floors, walls and so on) it's worth using a one stop provider who can coordinate the whole thing. They'll talk you through the process and offer a design too.

Makes sense, thanks! I'll go and have a nose around somewhere that can do it all.

So much to think about - integrated appliances? Space for an island? Tall fridge?

How long does it take? Could it be done in a weekend if we're talking complete rip out including flooring? I've got a baby and a toddler so the thought of being without a kitchen is a bit scary!

That's a lovely kitchen @Ginnotgym. Mine isn't quite that size, probably about half of yours.
