If you are on Mumsnet I just want to say thank you.
The young lady sat in front of me who turned around to ask if I was ok.
To the 2 glamorous sisters opposite me. You had been to see the Take That film.
You offered me a pick & mix.

I was in a terribly upset state (see my other thread sorry I haven’t replied on there it was a bad day).
You said ‘ things always look different in the morning ‘

Thank you ladies. Things are certainly clearer in the morning. You all managed to make smile & realise there are some very lovely people in this world

@NannyRed. How about an apology ?

FermatsTheorem · 09/06/2019 16:54

I stumbled across your other thread first, OP - hope things get better for you from here. I am glad there were kind women there on the train to look after you when you really needed it.

(I think the thing that makes that second post so nasty is that it is so clear from the opening post that this was a major crisis in someone's life, the sort of situation where you don't automatically thank people at the time because you're all over the place. It didn't need a degree in psychology to work that one out).

S1naidSucks · 09/06/2019 17:00

Sometimes I want to close myself away from humans, then I read a lovely thread like this and it reminds me of the lovely people in my life.

I’m so glad there was a lovely young woman in front of you instead of NannyRed 😉

Elderflower14 · 09/06/2019 17:06

Have reported NannyReds comments...

Hammondisback · 09/06/2019 17:08

I’m so pleased that these lovely people helped you feel a little better. Thank you for sharing, it’s so nice to remember that most people are amazing - kind and generous. So easy to forget that, sometimes. Having read your other thread, hope things improve for you soon. To me, it seems you’ve made the right decision. Stay strong Flowers

Here's the thread ladies

NannyRed Stop being a complete bitch

Moneybegreen · 09/06/2019 18:37

Are you safe OP?

SickOfBeingFat · 09/06/2019 18:46

Hope you found somewhere safe

crazyasafox · 09/06/2019 18:49

@BoogieNites

WTH are you on about? NannyRed's comment was deleted about an hour before you posted your comment calling her a complete bitch. This is your first post on this thread. Did you even SEE her comment? Confused

Or are you just posting to join in with the bashing of @NannyRed for the sake of it? She posted something that some posters saw as inflammatory, and her comment was reported, and was deleted at 17.30. Your derogatory comment at 18.32 is utterly uncalled for.

Also, a link to the OP's original thread from yesterday was put here by @Orbison on page 1 (at 16.04,) so us, so any 'ladies' who wanted to see it have the link there. Hmm

crazyasafox · 09/06/2019 18:49

@SittingAtARailwayStation

Hope you are OK. Let us know how you're doing.

MorondelaFrontera · 09/06/2019 19:00

crazyasafox

common sense from a poster is very refreshing, thank you.

crazyasafox · 09/06/2019 19:23

@MorondelaFrontera

Thank you. Blush

WhiteLightTrainWreck · 09/06/2019 19:35

@sitting, I've just read your previous thread.

You deserve nothing but the kindness those young ladies showed you on the train last night. I hope you realise how true that fact is!

I hope you're in a much better place now and are being looked after because Lord knows you should be!!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 09/06/2019 20:55

Sending you hugs and love, @SittingAtARailwayStation. I hope that you are safe, and looking after yourself.

And whether or not the ladies concerned see this thread, I think that it, and threads like it, are very valuable because they can remind us that a very simple act of kindness or thoughtful word at the right time, can really help someone who needs it.

SittingAtARailwayStation · 09/06/2019 23:08

Thank you all. Sorry for the late response but I fell asleep.
This thread , for me, is/was just about that ‘are you ok ? ‘
The ladies last night made me smile.
I had my very small back pack with me. I’d tried to pack sensibly after all everyone needs hair straighteners, flip flops & a bottle of wine !!!
I was literally desperate last night. I’d left in the morning. I had no where to go.
I spent 6 hours walking until a friend was home.
Anyway those 3 women reaching out (at the time made me cry more) but they are amazing. The pick & mix was a bonus but I’ve learned a simple ‘ are you ok ? ‘ are 3 great words
