Take plenty of food and drink as queues for rides and food places!

Thank you - going to take a picnic 😄
Anyone on ideas to entertain him whilst queing? Does anyone know if you can take buggies in the que? (Cbeebies land)

I am a lone parent and used to take Ds a lot at that age. You will have amazing time!

Take buggy - there are buggy parks outside every ride. Bring snacks, treats, drinks in rucksack - useful to bribe if queues are long.

We used to goto CBeebies land first and do a few rides, then get the cablecars and do the rollercoaster restaurant for lunch, then back to CBeebies land for afternoon. On second day we would do splash landings and then Ds would sleep on the way home for a good 2 hours as he was knackered!

Take a poncho or rain coat with you as the ones there are super expensive.

Ds LOVED Mr Blooms garden and the furchester hotel which was are interactive shows where the kids help with tasks.

Have a fab time!

No buggies in the queue, you leave them in the parking bit by the entrance. The queues have activities spaced out in the lines to keep the kids occupied but it can be hard waiting, bribe with snacks at these points!

Go directly to CBeebies land I guess. The rides in there are pretty fun; some like the river were a bit tired when we were last there, but a 2 year old would love them (assuming they like Night Garden). The café there is pretty good for little ones if you weren't going to bring a packed lunch - lunchbox selection boxes and stuff. The shows are good fun and you should try to link in with those. Justin's House thing is fun but it does hurt if someone shoots a ball at your head; if you go in there I'd head upstairs directly and stick close to your child! Charlie and Lola thing is cute and has ball pit type play space.

Have you booked to go to Splash Landings? That might be worth it as obviously 2 year olds can enjoy a pool! There are some areas in the larger park that you can go for walks in, but if any take you near the haunted section take care, as some of the statues in the woods are pretty graphic. It might be fun to go on the monorail around the park; entrance is to the left after you come in. I think you could do the pirate water pistol ride with a 2 year old, but you get wet! I have half a feeling there's an aquarium to visit there too, but that might be another park.

If you're there later, rides shut half an hour before closing.

I took a big bag of fruit for mine and just fed them in the queues. They also liked feeding the ducks. Mr blooms garden and the tree fu Tom play ground were good.

I found the worse Qs were for Octonauts and the treetop ride - if you're there at opening prob do those first before they get long. If you can go later in the day I found the Qs get better.

The line is pretty restricted for space; maybe a sticker book, or Watermagic colouring? Or pavement chalk - they probably wouldn't mind too much?! twirly is right they have occasional activity boards, but some are a bit broken now, e.g. one in Postman Pat Q.

I hated it and wouldn’t go back. Queues horrendous. Waited an hour and a half for first ride and it lasted 1 min. But we went at a weekend. If you’re going in the school week it might be better.

Justme it was our first adventure too, you will have a lovely time! I always park at splash landings hotel and jump on the monorail in, as you walk into the park, CBeebies land is straight down and on your right. Take lots of photos!

Justme1981 · 08/06/2019 16:17

Thanks everyone 😄 i think i will feed him as i go round & hope that the ques aren't too big!
I hope that we don't hate it!!!
