De Kempervennen - Netherlands

Have posted this in Travel too, but was looking for some quick feedback!

We are looking to book either De Kempervennen or Het Heijdebos this summer.

Does anyone have experience of the villas please?

Can't decide whether to book a Comfort or Premium one! Is there much difference or are they the same lodges but you get extras (beds made, linen, etc) with the Premium? If they are the same physical lodges, I'm tempted to bring own bedding and use the savings on extra activities for the children!

Also, are they non-smoking these days?

Casual all the time. Jeans, cropped trousers, hoodies etc.

Just to add we went last year this time of year and stayed in a premium. I would echo PP comments: mosquitoes ( zillions at night one child absolutely eaten alive) cigarette smell, no oven or freezer, dampness ( exacerbated by no washing machine tumble dryer in the unit so our towels never dried from pool or bath, there is an on-site laundrette but only 1-2 machines in it- for the whole site).

But, we had a blast. Pack extra towels and mosquito repellent though.

Thanks! Is there heating in the premium lodges? Just wondering if a quick blast would minimise the damp?

I'm not sure as we didn't need it, but if you phone them they speak perfect English and are very helpful.

We arrived - the lodge is a little dated in decor but clean and doesn't smell of smoke, so very relieved! There is heating, although we haven't tried to use it.

Dodgy techno blaring out from a lodge nearby but will hope it is arrival excitement. Will update later on. Thank all for the feedback.
