Current provider doesn't have this facility.

Thanks

Does it have to be off or just unusable by someone?

If the latter, log on and change the password. It can be changed back at a good time.

I do that in emergencies but there's a tonne of crap that I also have to sort out like the google speaker and chrome cast etc.

Would a WiFi plug plugged into the router work? I know you wouldn't be able to turn it back on remotely.

We use a Google Mesh network - you control it using an app on your phone, and can turn it off from there. You can also disconnect specific devices from it.

We had thought about the WiFi plug thing but the engineer who came a while back said if you turn it physically off a lot it slows the speed you get.

do you not have settings where you can choose to block the internet between x and y time?

CottonSock · 06/06/2019 20:21

Bt whole home you can. Not sure if there is a better solution though

Sky Broadband has an app you can buy I think. And maybe an app called circle? I’m sure there’s apps which let you control by device. Sky’s been talking about pausing the internet for meal times etc but I don’t have it so can’t tell you what it’s like.

I've switched to Sky. Controls sounds easier. Will report back when it's all set up.
