What’s their budget? And how many rooms?

Overseasmom100 · 03/06/2019 16:00

1 twin room and cheap and around no more than £140

You mean like the Hilton, the Dorchester or the Inn On The Park?

That is rather an Out-Of-Towner question.

Get the tube two stops to South Ken for something affordable.

Overseasmom100 · 03/06/2019 16:03

I want to give them the option to stay walking distance to a hotel or to 2 stops on the tube etc. baring in mind the tube will be heaving Im sure

Balmoral House Hotel isn’t bad either

NorthernRunner · 03/06/2019 16:10

Try booking.com

Overseasmom100 · 03/06/2019 16:12

The Crescent doesnt have twin beds, Balmorla is an option. The Corus looks ok and a good price but not sure how far away that is

Earl's Court is 3 stops on the tube and there will be plenty of cheap hotels there. Walking distance from the exits of the Hyde Park Arena are the Park Lane hotels, so close, but pricy.
If they are fit enough to walk for 15mins I would suggest leaving the arena via a south west exit walking West on South carriage drive and then turning left down Exhibition Road to South Kensington tube station which is bigger and won't be the crush at Hyde Park Corner. Plus then you can head on the circle, district or Piccadilly lines rather than just the Piccadilly line at HPC.
Alternatively leave the arena from a northern exit and head to Marble Arch then you can travel on central line giving even more options.

NorthernRunner · 03/06/2019 16:15

If you go on booking.com OP you can check distance from Hyde Park to hotel!

stucknoue · 03/06/2019 16:20

Best option is to prebook a be ncp car park at Marble Arch and drive out to the suburbs if they don't like tubes. You will struggle to get a room for under £300 around there in summer on concert days. Gloucester Rd or Earl's Court is the nearest place rates are likely to dip under £200, its walkable to Gloucester rd through the park if they are fit enough, or take the tube from Hyde Park Corner

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 03/06/2019 16:22

Probably be cheaper to get a hotel a little further away and get a black cab or uber after the event

Tomboytown · 03/06/2019 16:24

Holiday Inn Mayfair

Overseasmom100 · 03/06/2019 16:28

Will look at tube from concert to Earls Court I think

Have a look around Bayswater - Vancouver Studios, the Phoenix and London House are all lovely, walkable and good value.

IamPickleRick · 03/06/2019 16:56

The way they kick you out after BST is via the north entrance, not necessarily Marble Arch, but more over to Lancaster Gate so Paddington area would be good.

groundcontroltomontydon · 03/06/2019 16:59

Also here (ace location, really lovely accommodation and v good value)

we are going to that concert and have booked a b7b in camden which is only two miles from hyde park, what i did was went on booking .com and inputted hyde park near hotals mind you i booked a few months ago and got a basic place no luxury for £90 a night

raeray · 03/06/2019 17:07

Hilton London metropole is at the other end of Edgware Road to Marble Arch. Also near to Paddington.
If they signed up to Hilton rewards programme they'd defo get a twin room for that price I reckon.
There's a nice pool there too.
My friend is a flight attendant and used to stay there all the time so I know it well.

They'd be able to walk or get a bus from Hyde park to the hotel.

listsandbudgets · 03/06/2019 17:18

Plenty of premier inns in central London OP within only 2-3 miles and you'll almost certainly get a room for £140 though if they want breakfast it will be another £20 or so on top. They tend to be basic but clean and comfortable with a good buffet breakfast too.

I'd be booking one of those and treating myself to a black cab to get there

eurochick · 04/06/2019 09:35

There will be a bun fight for cabs in the area at chucking out time.

Tomboytown · 04/06/2019 10:00

It takes forever to get anywhere when those concerts finish, definitely don’t expect to pick up a cab, it’s chaos.
