My daughter is 3 yrs old she's 4 in August I'm finding it really difficult all she does is cry n scream and when I say cry it's really screaming crying red in the face losing breath crying it's constant about 6 to 7 times a day and she also wakes in the night and is even worse throwing herself around and u can't console her she's always been like this when she was born she never slept was always crying I'm literally at my wits end I feel like a zombie I have 4 other children and their nothing like her
I love her to bits when she's not crying she's such a character the way she chats away but she's just so emotional anything will make her just flip her lid
I really don't know what to do anymore can someone please help me

What do you do when it happens ? Do you comfort her every single time or only when she has a reason for crying (bumping her head, hitting her leg, ....) ?
If she is turning 4 soon, did you have the conversation with her? Telling her you know she is upset, but that you are going to teach her to control her emotions. If it normal to have emotions, sometimes they are very big, it is ok to have them, but she can manage them.
Do count with her to 10, give her a special emotions toy (a fluffy rabbit, parrot, whatever) to help her calm down.
What are the triggers?

I was just talking about this yesterday with a mum in the park, my little girl is 4 in October and the pm (park mum) girl is 4 in October, we concluded it must be an age thing.

I tell my dd l don’t understand what she is saying with the screaming and baby crying so stops and tells me then she goes in the naughty chair for being silly.

Pm let’s her daughter cry it out and have her tantrum. I witnessed this and wanted to cry because l thought it was just my daughter like this.

I don’t think there’s a right way or wrong way to deal with it, just as best you can and you have to find the best way for your daughter. I think at this age they are still little and because they can/walk/talk and are little people now we don’t treat them as small, my daughter still needs a sleep. It’s half term here and after Monday l knew l had to do something to help my sanity last the week, so w have a movie on at 4pm and she is asleep by 4.05pm and wakes up when daddy gets home at 5pm. An hours peace and less night time tantrums.

Good luck.

Distraction is good too as soon as l sense something happening we Choo the birds from the garden or colour in , something that takes her mind away from what ever melt down it is.
