Bloody people on bloody trains. Rant alert.

Argh I hate trains at times. They are often full of pissed and loud people, people who take up all the room available with suitcases so I can't get my buggy out of everyone's way and have to stand up all the way because people are just inconsiderate. There's plenty of overhead space available but I can't put my sleeping child up there. The toilets are disgusting, the prices are extortionate and they often smell bad. A very handsome man did offer his seat up so my daughters could sit together though which has been the nicest action we've had on the 6 trains we've been on.
And why do people crowd round the doors when on the platform so no one can get off? They they all watch you struggle with a buggy and luggage.
I don't drive so can't travel by car. Generally I like the train but some journeys and times of day are awful.
I'd like a sedate Agatha Christie type train journey. Without the murder obviously. A civilised glass of wine or sherry but not cases of Stella Artois.
And don't get me started on the bad language that's yelled across carriages and the eyebrows on the young women. I've seen lots of blue hair today too. Blue hair gives me the rage.
Maybe I have PMT?

Rant over. Thanks for listening Grin

What we are suffering from and witnessing is the gradually degradation of British society, morals ,etiquette and manners. It will only get worse. The best thing to do is leave the country if you can. Thats my plan as i too am also sick to death with having to put up with so many CUNTS...

That's terrible Sarcelle. Really nasty. Hope you are ok now.

Motherof3feminists · 29/05/2019 21:42

@Sarcelle that's horrendous Thanks

Yes society has gone downhill a great deal. I used to really like people. Then I hit my late 30s and changed my mind. Possible asd but I get really distressed at others not behaving in a way that is acceptable. I get very anxious and agitated. I love a good chat to a total stranger though! As long as they are not doing anything to overload my senses Sad

One of my pet peeves is when a single passenger sits near the (I’ll call them the cubicle seats; a table with room for four) seats. I’m a single parent and last week we got on the train only to find that every single ‘cubicle’ had just one passenger seated there. There were lots of single and double seats and I know the seats with the table are pleasant - but it does make it harder for families with more than one child, as they can’t sit together.

If I travel alone, I always try and sit on a single or double seat.
