Looking to book a little Haven holiday with the sun vouchers. Has anyone been to these parks with a toddler? Any recommendations on best sites?

It depends what you want.

Do you want massive with lots of activities or smaller with a few less?

Do you want walking distance to beaches?

What area?

I love Greenaxres and Thornwick bay because both are that bit smaller and better for what we want.

Others I am less keen on, and I would never pick one of the massive ones personally.

Walking distance to the beach would be lovely.
Nice pool, splash park/zone would be nice and playground. Kids disco. Not too worried about organised activities like sensory sessions etc

Perrin Sands is LOVELY and loads to do

Berwick was really good, pool looked ok (we went in March) walking distance of town.

We went to Weymouth Bay when mine were 18 months and 3. They absolutely loved it and the area has loads of things to do.

We didn't do any organized activities. They used the pool, soft play, outdoor play area and crazy golf more. Pool area was brilliant and never crowded.

The food on site was good but we were out and about a lot.

Our caravan was basic, uncomfortable and milrs away from the facilities though.

We have had lovely holidays at Berwick, Thornwick Bay and Reighton Sands with our 2 preschoolers. All chosen as quieter sites. We really liked Reighton Sands our most recent visit. Lovely outdoor play area in garden of the pub/ restaurant. Beach is easily walkable but down a steepish slope so they have a ride back up pulled by a tractor every 30 mins so no problems for little legs. Indoor pool is clean and nice but no slides. They have an outdoor lazy river but wasn’t open when we went in early May.

Has anyone been to any in Dorset or Norfolk?

We went to Caister on Sea a couple of years ago, that’s a nice park. Thorpe Park up at Cleethorpes is also nice, the pool there is great. That was the first one we went to when our daughter was 2.

Perran Sands in Cornwall is lovely but the walk down to the beach is down a massive cliff. Which is fine until you have to walk up again 😂

We’ve also been to Primrose Valley (Filey) twice. Beautiful beach there and loads of activities. It’s a downhill walk to the beach but nowhere as bad as Perran Sands!

Rockley park in Dorset is nice. There's a slide into the indoor pool that isn't too scary and a splash fountain area. The play park in the main complex might be too big for toddlers but there's another one in the sports zone area and a couple of bits amongst the caravans you can spot on the map.

There's a beach and Ham common within walking distance but the park is quite big for little legs.

We've just come back from Seaview in Weymouth. It's next door to the Weymouth Bay park and you can access both with your passes but Seaview is much smaller and cheaper. We really liked the quieter feel of it. Good sized grass areas around each caravan so the kids could play. Soft play, nice pool and small splash zone. A sand play area. It's great to have the facilities of both parks, in a quieter setting.

There is a beach you can walk to (took about 20 minutes) and there's a buggy friendly route but the beach wasn't great to be honest. The number 4 bus into Weymouth comes frequently and the beach there is much better.

We always play chicken with Haven. I book the cheapest caravan we would be happy with and then a few days before we're due to leave we phone for an upgrade. There's ALWAYS something left and we saved £500 this half term (not that I would have ever paid that much!)

Before you book anything, compare the Sun price with what's available on the Haven website. We found it cheaper to book directly surprisingly.

Reighton Sands and Primrose Valley are decent sites with Scarborough only about twenty minutes away. Whitby and York about an hour and Flamingoland about 40 minutes so plenty of days out close by too.

Wild duck in norfolk is really lovely.
