Searching real “family” movies

We’ve been looking for films to watch as a family recently and actually finding it pretty hard! DC are 5 and 7 and quite sensitive so nothing over a PG, and also:

  • we don’t want a kids film, or at least it has to be something genuinely enjoyable for adults

  • nothing scary, no swearing, no bits that will be difficult to explain to an inquisitive 7-year-old

  • can be modern or vintage

  • ideally live action rather than animation

  • quick-moving with a minimum of slow talky bits (as attention wanders).

We’ve watched Back to the Future, Big, Peter Rabbit, Homeward Bound, Matilda etc. But keep thinking of films and realising they’d not work for one reason and another! All suggestions gratefully accepted.
