Posted a thread of what were treats growing up to you, and it was a really nice thread, got me thinking what foods now can't you buy that you used to love? Here are some of mine..
Milky Bar Chews
Those plastic drinks with the funny lid you twisted of,

Sara Lee chocolate gateau! There's just no alternative that tastes the same.

Also Worcester Sauce twiglets
A Heinz pourable salsa which made a fab salad dressing
And the recently discontinued Asda frozen good for you tuna pasta bake.

I used to go to the corner shop on a Saturday and buy a quarter of something called Kurly Fruit - that was lush and never seen it since ☹️

Clutterbugsmum the pound shop does the sauces but I don't know if jerk flavour is one of them.

@MumaD I am 99% sure you can still get salt and vinegar pom bears in Waitrose.

After Eight Mints from years ago were nothing like the pale sickly imitation of today.
The chocolate was rich bitter and dark, and the mint fondant was sharply minty. Today's version is over sweet flavourless gloop.

Bring back the original After Eight Mints!

Definitely secret chocolate bars! And Cadbury Fuse. And cremola milk pudding.

Ice Magic. If went on as a sauce and ended up a magical chocolate crisp on your your ice cream. It really was magic!

Jarred coronation chicken - was Heinz I think? SO GOOD

Also Fruitangs. Yummy sweets that nobody else seems to ever have heard of, but google tells me definitely did exist.

Frufoo yoghurts and Gino ginelli tutti fruity ice cream, zap ice lollies, monster feet yoghurts (the pots had monster faces and little feet), spearmint chew bars that were next to the highland toffee and wham bars, pizza rollers and tangy Tom tomato flavour corn puffs.

A Waitrose veggie ‘chicken’ curry ready meal that was only recently discontinued when they introduced their vegan range, only had it a couple of times but it was wonderful

Does anyone remember a "bolognese" quiche that sainsbury's did? It was amazing, my dm used to buy me one every Saturday. It was like cheesy and tomatoey

Yes Was one of my favourite dinners when I was growing up. I wish they made something similar now.

WImpy's beanburgers were great. I'm not a vegetarian, they were the only vegie food that tasted good to me.

Off to hunt my Tesco for an orange/grapefruit yoghurt now ...
