Recently separated but trying to be on good terms. However I've noticed this behaviour and think wtf
I went out last week and he offered me a lift. whilst in the car he went on and on about what a nice person he is giving me a lift and how tired he is. Hmm

He was going somewhere I have a free parking pass for and I offered it to him. He starts saying no thanks you know what you're like about things like that. When I asked him what he meant he said oh you know Hmm

Bloody weirdo

He sounds like a Martyr.

When we were together he'd always say oh you know what you're like you'll kick off. I didn't care enough to kick off

He's trying to mess with your head and succeeding. He's playing the victim. He can say to others that he gave you a lift when he was really tired after work and you didn't pay for parking (even though you offered and he refused). Ignore.

Next time I'll be paying for a taxi

Messing with your head. Because he's hoping you'll go mad and this prove his fictional point. My ex was king of that.

Sockworkshop · 26/05/2019 09:58

Yep he is trying to wrong foot you so that he is your "victim" and you are "wrong/nasty"

Paraphrasing -He gave you a lift despite being exhausted and you were ungrateful and didnt pay for parking . What a nasty person you are Hmm
Dont accept lifts or favours , keep him at arms length.

Oh I hate this 'I'm such a nice guy' narrative.

Most often trotted out, at length, repeatedly, by guys who actually, aren't that nice at all.

I used to be so tense when we were together. I always felt like I wasn't doing enough and couldn't sit down. Now I sit on my arse loads and I love it
