Are there any in demand jobs in 2019?

At the moment I’m trying to find weekend work to help bring in some money and to just get back out there again. I’m a SAHM and we’re living off of one wage.

I’m looking at getting into the care sector as it’s something I’d love to do, but they just seem to mess me around.

So I was wondering what jobs are in demand right now? I don’t mind doing a course if needs be as my youngest will be in nursery next year.

Any help will be very greatly appreciated

Data scientist. It's a very in-demand job around here as there is a huge skills shortage.

I hear those with the ability to negotiate a Brexit deal are in high demand.

Care assistants are ALWAYS high in demand and always will be. It’s just finding a decent company. Also getting started can be a faff, with having to do unpaid training, police check, unpaid induction.
However you will never be out of work and there is plenty of scope for progression.
You could do your level 3 in Health and Social care while your youngest is in nursery, and work at the weekends.

I am not sure why you can’t get work in the care sector it has such a high turnover but you will need to sign up with an agency who will apply for an enhanced DBS check as you can not apply for one yourself

Mental health services are desperately understaffed

agree with pp, care assistants and support workers are always in demand, but it does often mean unsociable hours.

Nowwhenitrains · 25/05/2019 14:26

speckledyhen I’m in Norfolk

Enthusiam I’ve been applying but I’m rather limited to care homes as I can’t drive. I had an interview the other day and I was sat there like a lemon for 30 minutes. No one came out or anything, so left my details and went and wrote an email to CareUK.

I’m trying desperately to nudge my way in but nobody seems to want me lol

Have any of your local leisure centres got any birthday party work going? I do it zero hours on weekends, it fits around family life well. It's mostly students who do it, so they're happy having someone who has a slightly more reliable schedule. It's really fun work too, although putting bouncy castles away is surprisingly challenging Grin

I work in crypto currency and we have been looking for software engineers for a really long time and we are struggling to fill the roles.
