Good snacks for kids?

What good snacks do you give your children that are an alternative to the 'kids' snacks? I spent £50 yesterday on snacks from the baby section. Goodies, organixs, Ella's are all so expensive I just can't afford it.

Child is 13 months btw.

Bananas, bread rolls, bread sticks, strawberries, oat cakes, but butter, marmite, cucumber, carrot - combine any of the above as necessary (e.g. mashed up banana on oat cake, bread stick with peanut butter, etc)

Also, just less snacks overall. People don’t need to be having snacks all the time.

This sounds a bit ‘lentil weavery’’ but......You can make your own biscuit dough and then freeze it balls wrapped in cling film. Then take one out when you’ve got your oven on and chop it up and bake them. They don’t have to be all even.

Good recipes for that are nigellas cheese stars. And Anzac biscuits.

Don’t cut them into stars though! It’s the most difficult shape in history!

From 1 I just gave normal snacks, but less for example a few crisps not a whole packet of Pom bears. It's the salt you need to watch on savoury snacks, but yes fruits like cut grapes, blueberries , breadsticks etc, normal small biscuits like a malted milk or a nice or a finger biscuits not chocolate ones can't think of the name but plain own brand type things.

A bos of cereal, cheerios or something, decanted into tiny tupperware. Raisins bulk bought and decanted... I'll keep thinking.

Also I have 3 and mine were 3 under 3. When you are busy socialising other people's snacks are hard to avoid meal times are always better if you don't bother with the snacks.

Limit the snacks do they get used to being hungry and eat s good breakfast, lunch and dinner..

'Adult' rice cakes and breadsticks are cheaper than the kids ones. We don't really snack but when we do it's usually veg sticks.

For traveling we take Aldi rice cakes and they do lentil crisps which my son (and i) like.
