Gloss paint turning yellow

Is there such a thing as white gloss paint that doesn't turn a nasty yellowish colour after a couple of years?
All of my woodwork goes this colour, I've tried different paints, from brand names to cheap and cheerful, but none of them stay white.

Is there anything that stays white?
We're decorating a couple of rooms, and need to gloss the skirting boards and door frames, despite one room being done not that long ago...

Try satinwood, gloss now has to have something in it which an affect of it is turning yellow

Satinwood is easy to paint with to

I use the ones that claim to be non yellowing and so far none have, you don't get the same shine to it though and it's nowhere near as hard wearing.
I still prefer to touch up the odd knocked area though than having to repaint the whole lot.

Agree with satinwood paint. Doesn't yellow and brushes wash with water and it doesn't smell so horrid and it dries quickly. What's not to love?

Johnstone's do a quick dry water based low odour gloss that is non yellowing.

I've just had my upstairs doors and woodwork painted by my friend who is a contract decorator and he said this is what they now tend to use

White satinwood is your friend.

Apparently the reason why oil based gloss does this is because a few years ago they removed a lot of the nasties out of the recipe. As a consequence, it now turns yellow very quickly. Dh is currently redecorating the hall and is using water based gloss. Which apparently doesn’t have the same discolouration problems but it tricky to apply. So he tells me.

And I don't think you can apply water based satinwood over gloss, or it bubbles and drags? I might be wrong but I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Thank you all... I'll try a small pot of satin wood and see how that goes over gloss. Otherwise it's repainting every other year :)
