Bath bombs am I missing something.

I've just used my first ever bath bomb but I feel like I was expecting more.

It just seemed to fizz a bit and made the water look dirty. It was a bomb cosmetics one if that makes a difference

am I missing something?

I don't see the appeal. They look like they might make certain areas itchy too. Grin You would need a shower after to get all the bits off, and aren't they gritty? Like those bath salt cubes my Mum had in the 80s?

A gynaecologist once said to me 'never add anything to the bath but yourself', I presume he knew what he was talking about.

Lush bath bombs with glitter are the worst. The oil in them turns the bath into an ice rink and it takes hours to clean the bath afterwards. They are definitely a good birthday present for someone you hate.

No, you’re just not good at being manipulated by marketing. Which is a plus.

I can't stand having to scrub my old bath out afterwards, as it absorbs the colours.

They’re gross. I got one as a secret Santa present once and the smell, even in the packaging, was heinous. Couldn’t offload it fast enough and found a grateful recipient!

I LOVE lush bath bombs. They are a luxury to me. However bath bombs from other brands are usually rubbish .

On a ridiculously strict diet a few years back, close friends got annoyed with me for refusing to eat any of the cakey goodies they'd kindly brought round. It upset them so much that, when I opened my presents and found a lovely, fun, huge, sherbety gobstopper sweet thing, I attempted to take a bite out of it!!!

My 6 year old loves them but I can't see why they would appeal to an adult.

Agree that Lush bath bombs should come with a health warning! I used up an old one of dd's that was lingering in a cupboard, and it left the bottom of the bath so slippery, I narrowly missed falling forwards and nutting myself on the taps!

I love Lush bath bombs, they make my skin super soft

Sparklingbrook · 24/05/2019 16:26

They must be pretty bad if baths absorb the colour. 😮

Its probably my bath, to be fair.
I don't want to have to scrub it though, because that'll make it more porous.
Epsom Salts are lovely to bathe in though, and the bonus is that they actually clean the bath.
