Inspiration for expectant mum gift

I'm going to a wee afternoon tea for two friends who are due 3rd babies around the same time. It's not a baby shower but will be a surprise to my friends. The idea is to buy a small (£5) gift for each. I'm lacking inspiration hugely. Very easy to buy for babies, but harder for mothers!
Any ideas?

Buy something they like. Gift for mums” or worse “gift for pregnant mums” are the worst because I am still the same person, pregnant or not.

The only thing I really loved getting was good quality Hand Creme thanks to a dry skin and more frequent hand washing.

Would definitely second the nice hand cream suggestion. Lots of hand washing = dry hands even if it’s not something they normally use a lot.

I also appreciated the people who bought me a wee bit of chocolate/nice biscuits. Nice to have a few little treats to just pop in your mouth in the early days.

Or if they still have a while to go - how about something for the bath/shower they can use now or when baby arrives.

Really nice idea for you to plan this. It is nice to have a little something for the Mums as well as babies.

If it was me I'd probably go down the bath type route for a fiver, is there anything they are specifically into?

You're right reluctantbrit, they are still my friends, and as a mother of three myself I know that your identity can be totally subsumed!
