What kind of drunk are you?

Not as in an alcoholic drunk but what aspects of your character come out after a few? For my dad he used to get violent, for DH he can get argumentative. For me some weird side comes out where I get a bit flirty and my inner lesbian comes out (I am straight) and I can get suggestive towards other females, not sure what that is all about and have cringed a few mornings after when recalling events of the night before.

So does anyone else change character after a few too many?

I'm hilarious apparently, life and soul of the party. I very rarely get drunk or even drink much but I got utterly trashed on holiday not so long ago and had everyone, including total strangers, crying with laughter due to my shenanigans Blush. I was absolutely dying of a hangover the next day.

AlyssasBackRolls · 23/05/2019 15:08

I'm a horrid drunk. I get morose and aggressive (not punchy just argumentative and upset). Good job I generally know when to stop drinking!

SlinkyDinkyDoo · 23/05/2019 15:16

Mega horny for dirty filthy sex.

hellooosweetheart · 23/05/2019 16:20

Haven't drink in years ( I can't afford it, plus I dont actually like the taste of booze) but I am quite a happy person when bladdered

Rememberallball · 23/05/2019 16:36

I become hyper acutely aware of what is going on around me and watch everyone else. I have also surprised other people when I’ve been very drunk as, apparently, I come across as very sober!!

booknow · 23/05/2019 16:39

I've been the happy drunk.
I've bedn the party drunk.
I've been the argument drunk.
I've been the disgraceful drunk.
I've been the paranoid drunk.

I no longer drink - I'm a nicer person these days

SMellisa · 23/05/2019 16:40

I'm just less careful with what I say! Doesn't matter who too!! I also dance a lot ....

BogglesGoggles · 23/05/2019 16:44

I get slutty drunk but apart from that don’t seem that drunk-apparently-not a good mix.

MatthewBramble · 23/05/2019 17:03

On beer I'm a very friendly happy drunk. On spirits (esp. rum) I'll fight anyone, anytime, anywhere.

thecatsthecats · 23/05/2019 17:10

Shambolic. Loud. Yodelling for some reason.

Daytimetellysucks · 23/05/2019 17:22

I’m a happy drunk

I’m usually quite quiet and introverted but once I’ve got a few drinks inside me I’m very talkative and hand wavy - mostly about random crap, bit over friendly and huggy, dancing is always involved and sometimes absolutely terrible singing

I then conk out at about 11pm - whether at a wedding reception, pub, even once in the middle of a music festival

I don’t really drink, so I’m a complete light weight

EntirelyAnonymised · 23/05/2019 17:24

A chatty, flirty knob

EntirelyAnonymised · 23/05/2019 17:25

I tend not to get drunk though, just stay on the ‘right’ side of it. Tipsy, you might say.

AsGoodAsTinaFey · 23/05/2019 17:28

Giggly after the first few. Maudlin a little later.

JustSomebodie · 23/05/2019 17:28

Bizarrely as I get older drinking doesn’t seem to affect me as much, either at the time or the morning after.

HighlandWorrier · 28/05/2019 21:07

Thanks for sharing guys it's interesting to see how it all affects us differently. Cheers 🥂

Happy and giggly. I tend to naturally stop in that state. I last got properly drunk about 4 years ago and had been feeling in the need of a big release and a good silly session cleared that tension. It had been years before that!

Wine makes me dopey, especially cheaper wines which make me feel snotty hungover before I stop drinking.

IMessedUpToday · 29/05/2019 07:19

I'm a very happy drunk, giving everyone cuddles..I also swear a lot, which I don't do when sober. All a bit embarrassing really.

TroysMammy · 29/05/2019 07:24

Haven't drunk alcohol in years but I was a sleepy drunk after two glasses of wine spritzer. When I was married my husband would get frisky and I wanted to sleep.

I've fallen asleep in a few pub toilets.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 29/05/2019 07:33

I rarely drink now, but when I do, I am very very organised. I can be falling down drunk and my make up will be removed, clothes taken off and at least a pint of water drunk, with more for the bedside. Plus if relevant, house tidied and all dishes washed, and alarms set etc

HasThisSoddingNameGoneToo · 29/05/2019 07:39

@BuzzShitbagBobbly Me too! Drunk me cleans like a BOSS and would never go to bed without flossing her teeth and moisturising her elbows -- unlike sober me, who's a lazy slob.

BonAccordSpur · 29/05/2019 07:48

Id be looking for a party, dancing all nite&sneaking a "hip flask" fashioned from a Panda Pops bottle into pubsGrinGreat memories

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 29/05/2019 07:50
Grin Many years ago I had a huge joint party. My bright spark idea beforehand was to bring all the recycling boxes into the garden so people recycled as they drank; but afterwards, I cleaned the entire place up (doesn't seem so bad when pissed).

Had no memory the following day so it looked like we'd been burgled by Kim and Aggie overnight! Bonus for not having to clean up old booze with a hangover too...

livin · 29/05/2019 07:51

I get very happy go lucky and louder. When I get past the point of reasonably drunk I can get very jealous and upset so I cut myself off at my limit.

Gamorasgran · 29/05/2019 07:54

Weepy. Emotional and weepy.

I rarely have more than 2/3 drinks now due to hangover and weepiness.
