FODMAP diet...but which one? They seem to contradict one another.

I think I need to give this a go. I get terrible bloating and without going into tmi when veggies are coming out undigested, then I think there’s a problem

So which one?
I’ve seen cabbage on both high and low fodmaps.

Would love to know which one worked for you?
We are trying to eat healthily but just can’t seem to get ourselves put right.
Also do you take a supplement to break down the Raffinose
Thanks for your help
This is driving me batshit crazy.

Everyone I know who’s done it successfully has purchased the MONASH app and sought the advice of a dietitian.

You should not attempt this without the help of a registered dietician. You can do yourself more harm

My wife did it on the recommendation of an Australian friend, coincidentally from Monash. I have no idea which one. She went to her GP and got referred to a dietitian.

She gave up after a few months as it seemed to make no difference at all and was very, very restricting.

I hated it as meals were dreadfully bland.

Thanks for your help and honesty
I shall look at monash
You mentioned a dietician. Someone else said a nutritionalist.
Is there a difference?

I think the difference is a Dietician is a registered profession, nutritionist is a nothing. Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist with whatever experience they like, as its not a protected title.

First step is GP to rule anything properly nasty out. Then, dietician.

Definitely Monash and find a dietician who specialises in food intolerance.
