Which teams get priority if there are clashes.

I think it's 1. County, 2. School 3. Club

DH thinks it's County, Club, School.

DS is in Year 7 so a school team is new to us.

County school club. School always takes priority over club, but county will probably let him/her go if they don’t make the practise/matches.

Depends on the level of the school club I would have thought. Plus how much input the school has had.

If he has been completely developed by the club and school just get the benefit of it then I’d go with club.

We prioritise County, School, Club or DS speaks to the coaches if he feels, for example, the club match is more important (ie a final)

For DS in year10 it's currently
County match
County practice
School match
Club match
School practice
Club practice

When I was at high school I always did county, club, school. However my school team for my sport were not particularly competitive so it seemed daft to miss club matches where we played at a much higher level. I would suggest speaking to the teachers and club coaches - maybe they will have suggestions as they will have gone through the situation before.

Club sport 1 competition (competes at national level, only possible through club)
Club sport 1 practice
Club sport 2 practice/ matches (at club)
Club sport 2 practice at school
School sport.

Ds never made county but priorities was club first then school.

Depends.

I know i few kids on sports scholarships who have to prioritise school sport- we know a couple of talented club players who gave up their non-school sport as it was too much along with all the stuff they were obliged to do in school. Being generally sporty they got roped into all the teams, from swimming to netball, and the scholarship meant the couldn’t say no.

The sport dd plays isn’t done in schools so if she does represent her school, its organised through her club. Same with higher regional/national stuff.
