I'm 20, not sexually active and my last period was 14th March...

Hello,

I will of course see a doctor about it, but I'm just curious what the reasons for this could be? I'm usually irregular, but even then, I get it every other month...

Could it be because I'm obese?

I'm really worried.

NHS

Being overweight or obese can also affect your menstrual cycle. If you're overweight, your body may produce an excess amount of oestrogen, one of the hormones that regulate the reproductive system in women.
The excess oestrogen can affect how often you have periods, and can also cause your periods to stop.
Your GP may refer you to a dietitian if you're overweight or obese, with a BMI of 30 or more, and it's affecting your periods. The dietitian will be able to advise you about losing weight safely.

Yes it probably is. Even a BMI in the overweight zone (so less than 29.9) can cause menstrual problems

Could be loads of things; stress, weight loss, a side effect from a medication you’re on, polycystic ovarian syndrome to name a few common causes.

Have a read here: www.nhs.uk/conditions/stopped-or-missed-periods/

Going to the doctors is the best course of action, hopefully there’s nothing serious the matter.
