It is a sliver fish. How big is it ?

PollyShelby · 20/05/2019 12:54

Silver fish. They love damp places

TheRhythmessMan · 20/05/2019 12:54

It's tiny, like the length of a 5p

Oh well that's just great then. I've recently moved here. Is it a pest? Do I have to live with these now??

Must be water somewhere. I don't get where they go when there is no water. Like slugs

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 20/05/2019 12:58

I get these on the floor of the downstairs toliet.. A good scrub down with bleach normally deters them for a bit.

ChristineBaskets · 20/05/2019 14:08

They're harmless. They usually come out at night, often I see them skittering about on my bathroom floor when I go for a pee at night.

MyPugIsAThug · 20/05/2019 14:16

They also like munching on toothpaste apparently...make sure your toothpaste lids are sealed properly Grin

TrixieFranklin · 20/05/2019 14:37

That's terrifying Shock

QuimReaper · 20/05/2019 14:47

They also like munching on toothpaste apparently...

Is that true? I read a book when I was little which had a silver fish character who liked toothpaste, I just assumed it was whimsical invention.

Or were you a Philip Ridley fan too? Grin

Lllot5 · 20/05/2019 16:13

Just drown it 🤷‍♀️

Medievalist · 20/05/2019 16:26

If you see one there are probably a lot more. We had them in our utility room for a few years. They tend to freeze if you put the light on and then scarper when they think it's safe.

TheRhythmessMan · 20/05/2019 22:22

Don't worry I did drown it.

So they feel the need for a mouthwash?Confused

"don't worry I did drown it"

Confused
TheRhythmessMan · 21/05/2019 19:21

Are you suggesting I should have saved it? Given it a pedicure while I was at it? Grin
