Would you get flowers delivered or buy them in a shop?

I would like to get flowers for a couple who have really helped and invested in me in the last year. I would also like to write them a thank you card. I'm not sure how best to do it. I'm a bit of an awkward person who is not the best at big shows of emotion and affection etc, so I'm tempted just to get the flowers delivered to their house (which is about 15 minutes away from mine). However I'm not sure how to coordinate the thank you card, because I would want the flowers and the card to arrive at the same time. Would I be better off buying the flowers myself in a shop and leaving them on their doorstep with the card? This would have the added bonus of being able to pick the flowers and knowing they're ok. However I would have to hope that the couple were out! (That makes me sound very unsociable, it's not that, I just don't want to make it about me giving a gift, I want them to know how grateful I am to them). What would be the best way for me to do this?

Moonpig do a card and flowers delivery, I had one recently and the flowers were beautiful and lasted well.

Look up bloom and wild, they do lovely flowers that go through the letterbox and you can send a card too

Go to your local florist, and take a hand written card with you. They will then deliver this with your flowers.

My Mum is a florist and this happens all the time. Plus you get far better quality flowers than shit delivered in a box.

Also inter flora, they are expensive though I think although probably better to support local flower shops.

@janeyre07; I agree it’s good to support local florists - but the flowers are pretty good from Bloom and Wild (no interest was just impressed when I got some)
