I'm drinking my cup of tea, listening to the birds outside. It's completely silent other than them singing.

Think I'll do bacon butties when the girls are up then crack on getting a first coat of paint on my blanket box.

Dd2 wants to bake so we'll do that, and she wants to paint a picture she drew yesterday too. No idea what dd1's plans are. She's turning into a teenager & spends a lot of time in her room lately!

I need to iron too, and want to check I have everything for Rainbows and Guides on Tuesday evening in case I need to nip to the shops.

Roast pork for Sunday tea, then showers, chill in front of the tv and early nights all round.

What about you lot?

We have been out to a local outdoor adventure park place, one of our favourites but haven't bene since Christmas. The usual washing and ironing first thing before we went, got home around 6pm and I m contemplating doing some work but am actually procrastinating on here....Looking forward to just one week left at school until half term.

We went out for a walk through the woods this morning. DS(6) has been cooped up at home with chicken pox for the last week, so it was nice to finally get him out.

Spent a lovely hour wandering through the trees and stopped to rest in a sunny field just off the main path. After a few minutes a dog came bounding down from the other end and stopped a few feet from us, frozen and staring. I couldn't see the owner anywhere and was nervous so picked up DS(3) and told DS(6) it was time to leave.
The dog followed us out and started growling and snarling, I grabbed DS(6)'s hand. The dog kept dashing a few feet in the other direction then running back to bark and snarl with it's eyes fixed on DS(6).
I was so scared, I thought he was about to attack. There was no one else in sight and nobody calling after him. My instinct was to shout for help, but I didn't want to alarm the dog in case it caused him to pounce. We walked down the path and turned a corner where thankfully there were 2 walkers with some dogs on leads. The dog that had been following us disappeared at this point.

It seems like such a non-event writing it down - 'got followed a few yards by snarly dog' - but I was terrified. It happened this morning and I can't stop thinking about it. Sorry to put it all on here, I need to get it out but don't want to talk about it to anyone in RL!
