Do you have an alibi for 10pm last night?

I'm watching Midsomer Murders and they're looking hard at a suspect who has no alibi for 10pm the night before.

Thing is... Surely not having an alibi isn't suspicious? I live on my own so a lot of the time my alibi is my cat.. Would you have an alibi, or how would you prove "I was at home"?

I think I watch too much crime drama Grin

I am having a very boring day so;-
DP went to bed about 9pm for an early start today. I was alone downstairs til about 11pm when I went to bed buuuut.
I could have sneaked over the back fence avoiding the neighbours cameras. Then I would wander through the woods til I found a place with no cameras to exit said woods. Then 3 minutes later I would be on a main road with cameras everywhere. Without those cameras though, yup I could get to midsomer, murder as many as I felt like and then home.

I would start a MN thread about DP doing something slightly eccentric, put (lighthearted) in the title and wait for people to offer to alibi me - then I could safely pop him under the patio and cash in the life insurance - that's a lighthearted suggestion, by the way!

Must stop watching Miss Marple.

Well, if it's an Agatha Christie murder mystery you are wrapped up in, then you might want to check if there were any female P.E teachers in the vicinity. If there's a P.E teacher from a low rate girl's school somewhere in the mix, I can guarantee she is involved. Her physical prowess (because P.E teacher) means she can commit murders that usually only a man could do. (I think A.C had a real problem with her own school games mistress - it's a P.E teacher as often as it's a butler.)

If, however, you're in a Lewis - then you need to check amongst the Dons.

But if you're in Midsomer, then it's a free for all - trust no one and don't go into dark spaces, or wander off with family friends. pretty sure the real culprits were Joyce and Cully all along

So I could set up an alibi for tonight at 10 - but DPs my only alibi for last night. I may have to hold off on the patio plan until I'm out of the frame for whatever went on last night.

I was talking to DH on my mobile as he left work.

Don't think it would be a good alibi though.

As it's a mobile, I could just as easily be out murdering as sitting on the sofa scratching my tit.

Hang on, was this murder in England? My passport was scanned leaving the UK last month... However it isn't always scanned leaving/entering the country (always flying, boat variable, not sure by train). I have evidence showing I was in Germany at lunchtime yesterday...

Yes, the Yodel man called at 9.50 pm and I have his phone number due to a still unresolved parcel mishap.

Although it could be argued that the the encounter with him tipped me off into a murderous rage so it depends how far it puts me away from the scene of the crime and the accuracy and width of the time window.

Ask me what I did this day week and I wouldn't have a clue.
