What age did you stop shadowing DCs in soft play areas?

Sitting in one atm and DS (22 months) appears to be the only one of his age without an adult shadowing them and it's now making me question if I'm being irresponsible.

2.5 and no sign of not shadowing here. Mine can be the rough and tumble one who the fuck taught a toddler how to do a pile on!? and he likes playing with us, and dh/I like playing with him. We only ever go when it's borderline dead though so it's never been a problem.

All depend on the soft play!

I'm a slack parent, so the youngest was definitely left to crack on with at 2.5. That said, both kids tended to stick together and don't suffer fools gladly.

Yeah I guess as long as it's quiet and I can hear him and see him most of the time it is surely fine? Slightly torn between maybe it's good for him to learn independence and play alone but also think maybe he would like me to play with him? I do go and play or see something when he comes and fetches me though

Depends on the soft play, ones with a 0-3 or 0-5 section DS has been doing by himself for ages...though I do keep an eye out he's not scaring any toddlers. DS is a loud 3 year old who still doesn't quite get that an 18m old will be a bit scared by his enthusiastic "DO YOU WANT TO PLAY BURGLERS WITH MEEE?" type greetings.

Big 3-8, or 3-12 type softplays I shadow otherwise DS will just attempt to do what DC twice his size are doing.
