If you don’t have an airing cupboard where do you keep your towels?

My new house has no airing cupboard, no shelves or storage in the bathroom. Towels are currently stacked on my bedroom floor for the last month. They need a home. And probably a cull.

We have w lovely wooden unit I bought from Argos which fits the towels we mostly use. Hand towels are on the towel rail. Then I have storage under my bed for the extra towels/bedding/things with no home.

If we had a bigger bathroom I would keep them rolled up in a basket, but for now they are folded neatly on the wardrobe shelves.

You get great drawers that slide under beds. They hold a lot and are quite cheap. Great for towels, linen, general crap that has no home if you've limited storage.

Top shelves of our wardrobe.

In our old house I put up some Ikea shelving (the metal tubular stuff you can hang pots and pans from). In fact, it was high enough that the door could open underneath the first shelf. The second one was further along and we would loop the towels around the rungs to dry them.

I’ve had a cull and halved the number of towels so I reckon they’ll all fit in a basket in the bathroom and some on a towel rail.

What can I do with the no longer needed ones? They are the ones with torn bits, bleach stains etc so can’t give them to anyone. I have enough cleaning cloths already too.

I have a linen cupboard in the living room, but also shelves, towel rail and two baskets in the bathroom. If you have more towels than can be stored in that it may be time for a cull!

Maybe offer them to a dog's trust or similar to use for animal bedding?

Oh that’s an idea! Thanks peaches
