Why do I love nature now I'm getting older?

I'm over 50 and when I was young I'd no time for nature, it bored me silly. I wanted the city, pubs, clubs etc, the countryside bored me to tears.
Now I love a walk in the country, I could sit and look at the trees blowing in the wind for ages.
Am I just getting old??

That's a nice way if thinking about it, it was there all this time, waiting for me, for when I'd be ready to appreciate it. And it'll be there long after I'm gone, hopefully to bring calm to others.
