Bit of background have endometriosis due to have my second surgery in next few months. on loads of medication at the moment been on and of loads for the last 5 years. Had the depo injection last year after my 3rd injection I decided to stop because what used to be heavy 9 day periods have decided to last for nearly a whole year non stop. Recently they have been getting worse to the point I’m changing pad hourly can’t get out the bath with out leaving a trail. Juts have had to have another bath as while faffing with opening the pad box blood apeared all down my leg and thigh with a massive clot. I’m desperate at the moment for relief and nothing seems to be working. The pain is killer but I can get relief from that the constant blood is horrific. Can’t even change pad easily with it me getting covered

I think you should seek advice, iirc of your soaking a pad in an hour then you need to get checked out. You poor thing x

Please seek medical help you should not have to deal with this amount of blood loss, you are probably very anemic. The answer for me was mirena coil stopped my periods totally, but ask your gp for norithresone which will reduce blood loss in the short term. To be honest if your bleeding is more severe than having to change a pad more regularly than hourly I would go to A&E as that volume of blood loss is quite dangerous.

I’ve just saw a endo specialist last week after seeing doctor for the millionth time they seem to not be too worried about bleeding go will only give my so many norithresone Over a period of time and with two holidays coming up need to make sure I can get some for them

Have you tried Tranxemic acid? It can help to reduce the blood loss. Flowers from a fellow endo sufferer (although never as heavy as that!).

MadeForThis · 14/05/2019 23:17

I had uncontrollable bleeding after dd2 was born. Ended up back in hospital 3 times and nearly needed a transfusion. Doctors said it was my period returning.

The Mirena coil was a life saver. Spotted a couple of times since. Now has it over a year.

Before the coil I couldn't get off the toilet. Blood loss was like a tap running. Needed oxygen. I never would have believed the coil could have stopped it but it did. Straight away.

Yes have tried transanmic acid but it never really helped and would make my periods extra long longer than nine days to be fair I’m super stressed at the moment and don’t think that’s helping with blood loss

Good!!! Don't downplay it,tell them exactly how much you're losing and don't move until your satisfied with the outcome.

Littleteacup1 · 15/05/2019 17:39

He gave me transanamic acid said to try for a week come back and if I feel faint to go to a and e did mention I had tried transanmic acid before but was years ago so happy to try again fingers crossed
