Should I be worried about my cat?

My 3-year old Bengal keeps dry-heaving. So, he acts like he is going to be sick, but nothing comes out. He's been doing it a bit yesterday & today. He's fine in himself, usual eating & sleeping plenty & playing a bit. I don't know whether or not to be worried or if I can do anything about it!

Any advice gratefully received, thank you.

Was just coming on to say the same as Davros, DH's work colleague did the same recently. 😮

@PeachMoon my boy does exactly that in the video every couple of weeks. I always thought he was trying to bring up a hair ball and now I feel like an awful cat mum Blush

Might be worth mentioning next time you have a vet appointment. Our girl was doing it several times a day so was very noticeable and seemed a bit urgent. she was over 10 when we adopted her and we noticed it in first few days, but she might have had it for a long while before it got to that point but we don’t know. It’s very easy to manage though if it does turn out yours has asthma too!

Thank You for the warnings, I am always very careful to check the washing machine before I turn it on but an extra reminder is useful. Those poor cats Sad

It sounds like this is solved but I wanted to add in case it's relevant to anyone. One of my cats started doing this last year with increasing frequency. Eventually, he vomited out a couple of hair ties that I must have left lying around and it stopped. I felt terrible as he could have died! He's an absolute fiend for munching on anything small or fabric so we're extra careful now.
