I need to LT filthy B don't I? (Light-hearted)

DH confessed something to me yesterday.
While he was in the house alone, he made himself something to eat. He had (and I can't believe I am typing this) microwave mashed potato and mixed marmite into it!
Can I save his soul or is it too late?

LTB. Microwave mash, butter and cheese is the only acceptable combination

SpoonBlender · 14/05/2019 01:11

Teach the poor man about Bovril before it's too late!

Aimily · 14/05/2019 01:22

You need an exorcism to save his poor soul... That was a filthy choice of food 🤢

ShanghaiDiva · 14/05/2019 01:37

Surprised you need to ask. That is absolutely vile - leave immediately!

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 14/05/2019 01:42

I told him, ( between boaks) that I was going to tell MN What He Did and he said, and I quote, "some of them will agree with me" !
He is unrepentant!
I had children with him!

Flowers for you during this trying time OP.

Hopefully it isn't genetic.

Alicewond · 14/05/2019 02:23

I once had microwaved mash and mixed with a tin of corned beef.. unrepentant.. was yum!

aidelmaidel · 14/05/2019 03:06

Dear God. Did he at least add butter?

He needs to say at least ten Hail Mairis (Pipers).

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 14/05/2019 03:09

We love corned beef hash @alicewond, though I generally use actual mash cos I make a massive cauldron full cos we all like it. (Except DD since she went vegan Hmm ) We have it with beans, and it is an eminently acceptable way to eat mash! Grin

You must feel like you're married to a stranger🤣

JellyMouldJnr · 14/05/2019 03:39

I'm with him. I have marmite on a jacket potato sometimes, particularly with beans and cheese

FurrySlipperBoots · 14/05/2019 04:28

Time to get your ducks in a row OP. And consider logging the incident with 101.

cantfindname · 14/05/2019 05:43

Jacket potato with Marmite?? Yes please!! Never thought of it before but sounds good. Does he have Marmite in a bacon sandwich.. it's the best!

Alexthekid · 14/05/2019 05:56

That sounds amazing!! I have just decided what I'm having for dinner tonight!!

Your dh sounds like a bit of a legend if I'm honest Smile

user1474894224 · 14/05/2019 05:59

Oh no.... Mine would put the mash into a sandwich.....how uncouth is that?

Mummaofmytribe · 14/05/2019 06:00

What is all this perversion being openly admitted on MN??Shock

TheoriginalLEM · 14/05/2019 06:12

Marmite is a by-product of fermentation. So that's yeast shit then - hus food is literally shit!! I hope you don't let him kiss you after eating that

spiderlight · 14/05/2019 09:12

I discovered last year, after nearly twenty happy years together, that my DH sometimes...deep breath.....puts pesto in his porridge.

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 14/05/2019 09:43

Shock Shock
My words have gone.

MrsMozartMkII · 14/05/2019 09:48

Bloody hell!

...Actually I can't decide if that'd be nice or not..., but as a person to whom a Mars Bar sandwich was the height of posh I'm not sure I'm in a position to comment...

PanamaPattie · 14/05/2019 10:44

My DH eats banana and marmite sandwiches. I'll get my coat.

aidelmaidel · 14/05/2019 19:55

I just had a crisp butty for lunch though, so I'm not one to talk

bliminy · 14/05/2019 20:43

I'd never thought of adding Marmite to potatoes.

Thanks OP.

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 14/05/2019 20:50

You're welcome (I think! Grin )

MrsMozartMkII · 14/05/2019 21:01

Banana and Marmite actually sounds quite tasty...

And as for a crisp butty, well that's just staple fare in this house Grin
