Hi all. I'm looking for recommendations, for a neck cream, that will help with crepey skin, isn't too perfumed and won't bankrupt me....I'm lost, from looking. There are hundreds.....tia

jumping in here too please if you dont mind.

I saw a photo of myself. It was depressing. I need to do something, fast.

Langrish · 13/05/2019 12:03

Nivea q10 firming. It’s actually a body lotion, not specifically designed for necks, but it worked for me, big difference.

Whatthefunk · 13/05/2019 12:07

It is heavily perfumed?

The lack of interest in this post, is making me feel, that you all have silky smooth, swanlike necks....

Nothing swan like about mine :(
Following though!

The Strivectin one-got it from TK Maxx and been using it twice daily for the last six months: still plenty left.

No idea its normal retail price, but it's brilliant - most neck cream and moisturiser gives me masses of tiny whiteheads on my throat. This has been perfect from the off, and makes a really visible difference.

IncognitaIgnorama · 13/05/2019 12:54

The bad news is that it's £79.99 for the tube at full price Sad Look Fantastic have it (though they often have 15/20% off deals tbf) - I figure mines about half gone so will start saving...

Whatthefunk · 13/05/2019 13:04

Yikes! That's a bit steep...

Avocado oil. Tescos, think it was £2ish.

Last for ages, put it on whilst still damp after a bath/shower.

Absorbs quickly, no stink and works.
You're welcome

Whatthefunk · 13/05/2019 13:18

Oh will try that. Thanks

There's a new cream M&S launched by Prai, which is for the neck and décolletage area. Mine is starting to age (sob) so I bought some and I like using it, but the jury's out whether I can see much of a difference yet. It has great reviews, not heavily perfumed and costs about £20-25 I think.

LindaLa · 13/05/2019 13:44

@Whatthefunk

It's in the cooking oil section.

Whatthefunk · 13/05/2019 13:45

Thanks for that

Grin Hope it works as well for you!
isthismylifenow · 14/05/2019 06:50

He he What, please update on the oil.

I used to use the Clarins neck cream, I dont know as it costs a bloody fortune and my thinking is, if it worked that well, I wouldnt be having this bad a crepey neck only a few years after not using it.

Or I need to find a dupe as not sure if its an age thing now, or a not using the Clarins anymore thing.

SolitudeAtAltitude · 14/05/2019 06:51

I always just use body lotion

No Nivea q10 firming isn’t heavily perfumed and it’s quite light. Put on after bath, give it 5 mins and it’s conpletely absorbed. It also worked wonders when I lost a lot of weight rapidly and had some excess skin on tummy, midriff and upper arms. Not eliminated, that would be miraculous at my age, but much improved.

Langrish · 14/05/2019 08:17

It to 3/4 weeks to really make a difference.

Its on offer at the moment as are some of the other brilliant priducts

TopsyTurvy0 · 14/05/2019 10:18

I am going to be blunt here

I dont think cream will fix it.

Antiaging creams are for your 20s.

I have invested 8.5k on changing my appearence in the past 3 years. I decided Ive always wanted this best to do it now than later. I couldnt be happier and noone really knows except if ive mentioned it.

Your neck skin is loose and you can cream day and night every single day and it wont be fixed maybe slightly improved but thats all. If you want it that bad and it will really change how you feel book to see a surgeon

madcatladyforever · 14/05/2019 10:19

My neck is vile. Creams aren't going to do it. I'm saving up for a neck lift. My DIL gives me creme de la mer which is horribly expensive. She sells it for a living. It made no difference. Age has won.
My worst moment came when I was taking a photo of a plant and the camera suddenly switched to Seafield and took a pic ofor my hanging basset hound jowels. Vile.

FiremanKing · 14/05/2019 10:32

TopsyTurvy0

I’m in my fifties and my neck is as good as when I’ve been in my thirties. I have always moisturised daily and wear a sunscreen on my neck as well as my face.

I also think that because I’ve never been overweight makes a difference as well as genetics as my mother has very youthful skin. She is half Singaporean and all of her family have fabulous skin and hair.

I’ve also had long hair for most of my life and that is a natural protector from the sun and wind etc.
