Big bosomed problems! Recommend a good bra??

I have G cups. Dunno if I've just got weird shoulders but I'm fed up of bra straps falling off my shoulders. Also underwires that go under my armpit and dig in Angry

So... who makes good bras for big boobies that are either not underwired or just uncomfortable? Reasonably priced would be majorly appreciated too.

The Gorgeous DD range from debenhams fit me far better than a lot of the more expensive brands. But I'm a much smaller back you would never believe I was that back size and a bigger cup in that range.

I am 34GG and have this size from M & S. It may be different at a larger rib size though, but I find the wireless bras quite good, some of them anyway. I have their sports bras...but need to wear two to do some classes at the gym! Blush

MIdgebabe · 12/05/2019 19:19

Molke. Stays on shoulders. No underwire. Comfy.

Molke!! Best bra ever.

fedup21 · 12/05/2019 19:34

Molke are fab. Definitely get fitted properly at Bravissimo though.

MyCatHogsTheBed · 12/05/2019 20:14

Again for those who missed it, I'm not going to bravissimo again, I'm really not. I know a lot of people rate them, but definitely not me. I was a few stone lighter when I was there last, so that bra size defo wouldn't fit me now!

I've given up on shops that fit negate I come away with uncomfortable or truly not fitting bras (m&s tried to squeeze my boobs into a D cup. My cup truly did overfloweth!)

I'm a size 24. A friend who is a bra fitter got me up into Gs and down into 40 or even 38 backs but they made me so sore under the arms at the end of the day because of the aforementioned underwires going too far around the ribcage. Smaller cup helps that but means I get that not very attractive line across the front of my bust where I overflow the top of the cup. Maybe if I got the right underwire I could go down a back size or two.

Thanks for all your suggestions, I'm off to Google those brands!

Well you need to get the size right first.
Boob or Bust is a good starting point if you don't want to go back to Bravissimo.
They have a FB group and they can offer style and fit advice.

user87382294757 · 12/05/2019 20:19

Can I ask about Molke after looking online. Do they give much support, they look soft bras and like the idea of no straps etc...but do they let your boobs kind of flop about? How do they wear. Blush Thanks.

gassylady · 12/05/2019 20:43

Forget Mille. I’m a dress size 20 and need a k cup. The bra gave a great uni boob look (and was really sweaty) I struggle to get it on and at one point thought I might have to cut myself out of it

gassylady · 12/05/2019 20:44

Autocorrect againHmmBlush forget Molke obviously

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/05/2019 21:29

I must have tried on 15+ bras to find one where the wires didn’t cut in, some are shaped quite narrowly. The bra I’m in they’re really wide, like right under my armpit nearly but no digging in.

If your straps fall down the back size is too big, I was measured at marks and spencer as a 34A, turns out I’m a 28DD. Bra straps don’t move all day now.

WhenDoISleep · 12/05/2019 21:34

I like the Goddess brand - look at the Amplebosom website.

user87382294757 · 12/05/2019 21:44

Gassylady Grin that's kind of what i wondered! Thanks.

RobinHumphries · 12/05/2019 21:53

Funny how we are all different. Someone up thread said to avoid panache whereas that is my go to brand (tango and nouveau)

randomsabreuse · 12/05/2019 22:00

Molke are very supportive for me - 28KK. Like can wear 2 and run 5k supportive. Much better shape than most wired bras too.

Sounds like for underwire you need a narrow, projected cup rather than a wider flatter one. Bravissimo's Satine is quite forgiving and narrow. Curvy Kate less so.

MoreSlidingDoors · 12/05/2019 22:03

Oh and avoid Panache, the wires are rather brutal.

I’m a 36J and I adore the Panache Jasmine. Nothing else hoicks them higher!

AnotherEmma · 12/05/2019 22:05

Ha! Yes I suppose that's why none of us can really advise on brands and styles. It's so personal.

ScrambledSmegs · 12/05/2019 22:10

It's really not an exact science so without trying them on it's hard to be sure. For example a poster upthread was anti-Panache. I love Cleo by Panache and their sports bras are the only ones I can wear.

I've got small shoulders too, and balconette bras are the worst for me for straps falling down.

AnotherEmma · 12/05/2019 22:17

I just find the wires rather brutal.
But I wore the (non wired) Panache Sophie a lot when pregnant and breastfeeding.

Highlandcathedral · 12/05/2019 22:24

Definitely prima Donna bras. I was fitted at Rigby and Peller and it was the first time I’d been comfortable in a bra for years. I’m a 40H so similar. Having said that I have some Elomi bras which are also really comfy. Try amplebosom.com

girlwithadragontattoo · 12/05/2019 22:26

I'm a 36 HH, i like curvy Kate and i like Freya bra's. I had an elomi bra once and it was also really comfortable. I mainly shop on Bra stop as they accept payment via paypal, though when i lived in the UK i used to go in for fittings at bravissimo and order online with them as well

itscallednickingbentcoppers · 12/05/2019 22:28

See I love Curvy Kate bras. The wires on other bras come up too high for me (I'm big but short) and the straps always twist round and round so the bra is unwearable!

Whatever you go for, check brastop.com before you buy to see if you can get it cheaper there. They have great prices on bigger sizes.

practicallyperfectwithprosecco · 12/05/2019 22:35

I find panache come up smaller I needed a 30g but it's soo comfy! Definitely my favourite brand.

Boux avenue go up to a g cup and their own range are great and no where near as pricy as bravissimo- no1 dd also has an ample sized chest so between us bra shopping could bankrupt poor dh!

DragonTrainer3 · 12/05/2019 22:47

Prima Donna here too, my favourite is Deauville, but prices have gone up a shocking amount since I first started buying them (now £100!) and I find that they don't last that long, usually 6 months to a year before the underwiring snaps or starts poking out.

I recently bought a couple from Marisota which are cheaper material but only £30-£40 and so far have lasted and been comfortable. I'm a size 24 but 40F (as measured by the Rigby and Peller ladies).

riverislands · 12/05/2019 22:49

Debenhams do a two pack in black and white or white and skin tone. £25 for both, and they really are excellent quality. As in, compare with Bravissimo.
