Any other losers out there want to form a club?

A changing our lives one step at a time club??

Omg i am in such a rut and I have no motivation to change anything. I am far away from my family and I have two tiny children. I used to run to be thin but I got out of the way of it and now I’m piling on weight. My work is killing me and my house is a mess.

I need to change.

Anyone fancy participating in a thread? Cheer each other onwards and upwards?

Sunday fear.

Got my work done but now I have the anxiety. I’m not in the office tomorrow and I have the kids so I won’t be able to work I can only watch my emails in horror.

Morning all.

sowhydontyoukillme I totally identify with the dread...I'm getting it often at the moment. I find the only thing that helps is to try to distract myself and be aware that I'm worse when I'm tired. Hope you got some sleep.

Baby DS was up randomly for three hours in the night wanting to play. I'm a bit of a zombie, but have completed my morning routine, including a baby wearing work out (I subscribe to online classes for it). Off to take DDs 2 and 3 to school in a moment. I'm hoping that DP is going to take a half day off work today.

I'm exhausted - spend all day preparing for this interview with pages and pages of notes. Still feel completely unprepared. I am waiting for my GP appt and will get back to it after.

How are we faring folks?

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 13/05/2019 19:48

Can I join in? 4dc, full time job with no prospects, messy house, garden is a jungle, need to lose 4lb...
My goals: plant the 15 plants I bought today by Friday. Get some exercise (planned for tomorrow).
Start the lose a stone in a week diet again next week.
I should also plan in some housework and a meeting with my boss (putting off the latter!) but it feels too much...

Cinnemom · 13/05/2019 19:59

Me!!! I’ve got an ebf baby who never fucking sleeps/naps, a toddler whose listening ears are perpetually broken and a DH who I don’t see Monday through Friday as he’s forever working!!! The grandparents never help!!

And none of my clothes fit, as I eat rubbish food when I’m tried.

My plan needs to be:

  1. stop breastfeeding baby, so they sleep!!
  2. throw away toddler’s toys till they listen to instructions!!
  3. tell DH that I’m checking into a hotel on my own for at least 2 nights!!
  4. make a mental note to never do any future elder care for the grandparents as they do no childcare!!

Perfect prep and tub of SMA and off you go! Mine were (exclusively!) formula fed and they did sleep. I know lots of people on here will tell you that there is no correlation (and obviously it’s not a magic bullet) but I think it totally works Wink

Haaaang the fuck on. What is this lose a stone in a week diet of which you speak?!

It’s this
jaduncan.com/2006/04/how-i-lost-stone-in-week.html?m=1
I did it when I was 11.5 stone and lost 12lb, so not as much as claimed but then I was only “overweight” by a couple of lb. I did it recently with 8lb to go to my ideal weight and only lost 6lb, but then I’m close to where I need to be. I can’t seem to lose the last 2-3lb so I figured a few days of this will do it and I’ll stop when I’m where I need to be.
It’s given to obese patients pre surgery and IME the weight does stay off. I won’t lie, it takes willpower... but only for a week, which suits me as that’s about all the willpower I have at the moment!

Morning!

How is everyone today? Plenty of sunshine?

I'm doing well so far this week. I went for a run this morning and did some housework (more to do after I've had lunch!). I even prepped for work tomorrow, which I have a tendency to put off until late on Tuesday night!

I want to get back to pre-pregnancy weight, but the hunger while bfing is a real thing! Aim for now is to be gentle to myself and just get a handle on eating tonnes of fruit and veg. I like it, I'm just lazy and as DP doesn't eat it, I end up not eating it either!

bakedbeanz when is your interview? Good luck for whenever it is!

Stone in a week sounds great, however, I think my running would suffer and running keeps me sane!

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 14/05/2019 11:53

Yes, I’d rather run, but dh works long hours and I can’t run with dc!

bakedbeanzontoast · 14/05/2019 18:07

@purplereindeer thank you. It was today, we find out at the end of the week... I'm exhausted now, in fact I'm going to have a kip for half an hour after I've typed this! I think it went as well as it could, but you keep second guessing afterwards, did I say the right thing, etc. The thing is when I am unsuccessful it really crushes me so I know when I get a rejection I will be crushed. I wish I didn't go like that but I think it's because I really go out in prep for this things and I'm juggling umpteen other things right now.

Anyway. I will come back later and see how you have all been doing. We have to keep at it till good changes happen I guess! Easier said than done at times though.

MoodLighting · 15/05/2019 17:20

Well done Beanz!!! Fingers crossed for you.

I'm on the lookout too- heading to a CPD type thing tomorrow in the hopes I hear of some openings or at least get my face out there.

I finished my big chunk of work and got a little freelance gig.

bakedbeanzontoast · 15/05/2019 23:26

No such look - piss off phone call despite being outstanding. Those were the interviewers works. I do wish things weren't so much down to chance at times.

bakedbeanzontoast · 15/05/2019 23:26

Luck
