How long would you wait for a mate to turn up?

Made a firm date for lunch with a friend, it was confirmed this morning. They're now an hour late & no communication. How long would you hang around for before you give up?

Oh yes of course I'd be trying to contact them after about ten minutes, but if no word I'd still wait and keep trying.

If they're usually reliable then I'd be starting to worry. I'd probably wait an hour max and then head off, but carry on trying to get hold of them.

If there is something wrong with them then it’s unlikely they will show, so waiting around won’t help.

I would probably contact them to see if they were coming after 15 or 20 mins. If no reply I would have lunch and leave whenever I was finished.

Up to an hour without any word from them not "without me sending a text or whatsapp to them at some point".

I'd probably text/call them at 15 minutes late to make sure things were ok, if they didn't reply I'd probably give it another 20-30 minutes then leave but I'd be more worried than annoyed until I knew what had happened.

I wonder if the friend was sat waiting in another restaurant wondering where OP was.

15 mins and that’s my limit. I can’t stand time wasters.

I called & got no answer. Turns out they were doing their hobby... We did finally get together in the end..
