Do you have any, where are they?
Was it sore? How long did it take to heal?
I quite fancy a wee daith or something as a little treat to myself for my birthday but I'm a big fat wuss.
In saying so I've got a small tattoo, had a tummy button piercing in my younger days so it won't stop me but I like to research these things Wink.

Oh and it hurt! 😂 not as much as I expected and my pain threshold is higher than ever before due to disability so I’m in constant pain. It... stung. For the time that the needle went in, then allllll the way round.
My ear felt like it was on fire afterward but it was an addictive pain much like I experienced when having tattoos

I have a rook piercing and I'd say it took well over six months to heal completely, and depending what I have in it, it can still be sore if I sleep on that side and the thing is in a bit wonky.

I do love it though!

I have daith, tragus and helix
I had the daith for migraine then got slightly addicted. The daith didn't hurt because I had a migraine at the time. It took the longest to heal and I had to bathe it twice a day with salt water
It took about 6 months. Trouble free now
The tragus hurt more but healed quickly. After a month it was trouble free
Helix short sharp pain then nothing. Not too bad healing but it can fire up with a knock
I love them though

Three in one lobe, one high enough to be touching cartlidge and it’s given me grief. It’s been 12 months and only within the last fortnight has it now properly dried and stopped being gammy. Protolind spray as said is the best thing and take care not to get stray hairs trapped round piercings as I am sure that’s what keeps doing for mine. I couldn’t sleep on that side for ages and even now tend to tuck the pillow so it’s not pressing.

High quality titanium labret helped.

Anyone looking for lovely, interesting piercing jewellery in silver and gold have a look at pinch and fold - had a few lovely bits from there and they come beautifully packaged (like a really special gift, very personal) pinchandfold.co.uk

Placemarking as DD is after getting hee helix done at the start of half term.

We've a couple of reputable, long established places locally and she's got several friend's who've had theirs done but I'm fairly clueless having just a bog standard lobe piercing in each ear.

She had her ears pierced when she was 10 and they were a pain in the arse to heal.

Any suggestions for best metal? She's thinking titanium.
