I have a 2-3cm deep heel crack that is ridiculously painful! I'm on my feet most of the day and I have no idea how to heal this quickly..
Any tips very gratefully received!

Apologies I mean two to three cm in length not depth! As in 2-3 cm, deep crack.
But thanks for all the tips. I'm heading to boots now

Germolene New Skin...you paint it over the crack which will then heal underneath. Then, once healed..everyone else's suggestions re keeping moisturised.

I bought the flexibility heel balm and also the moisturising foot cream. Hoping it will work!

@bewaretheidesofmarch me too, I couldn't walk they were so bad, but I found after using salacylic acid cream 3% steroid it has nearly all gone. Prescribed by a dermatologist i had to pay for privately. Plus using an electric pedi every week or so. I guess it's finding something that works for you.

Sorry am a bit late to this thread. I would really consider a one off appointment with a chiropodist to get hard skin off your heels, and then keep on top of it yourself.

When he’s away on business my feet get so bad, they miss him almost as much as my heart does!

OT but why don’t you just rub the cream into your feet yourself? I’m fat and manage. Even when heavily pregnant I managed, just had to do it in a different way in a semi crossed legged/ yoga style (as much as that is possible when pregnant so like a relaxed yoga thing where legs are up but quite separatedGrin). Although I guess with some forms of arthritis or disability etc it may just not be possible. Sorry, mind just racing why your feet have to suffer when your DH is away. Also imagining DH face if I handed him a tube of stuff and asked him to run it into my feetShock.

Just an update. I bought the flexitol heel balm and also their moisturiser for the rest of my feet.
The cracks are still there but less painful. But my feet look so much better! It really has improved my feet overall and I'm going to persevere! I even tried to heel balm on some stubborn eczema I have and it's helped there too!
Definitely recommend it

Lotil cream works amazingly well for this type of problem. Just slather it on and then place an adhesive gauze over it at night. By morning it usually really helps and if not, I simply repeat the following day.

Foot file to get rid of all the dry skin then flexitol. File every few days and put the cream on twice a day. I also soak my feet in 100% urea. It absolutely stinks but my God it makes a difference. Despite doing all this I still get cracks but by they no longer get painful due to the above.
