Hi

Dd would love to go and see the musical Hamilton in London so I was thinking of getting her and myself tickets for a show in London just wondering if there's any sites that are better than others for deals or cheaper seats?? Thanks Smile

You can only buy Hamilton tickets through their official site and the person booking and paying must attend with id and cc.

Yep Hamilton is really strict - you can be turned away easily for the wrong credit card or no id

If DD is under 16, google kids week - that must be soon I think

Sign up to Ticketmaster. They'll let you know when the new phase of Hamilton tickets have been released. Then you can get decent priced ones. I just bought 2 for £37.50Grin

September release of Hamilton tickets opened last week.

Thanks folks that's good to know. Didn't realise they would be so strict re ID and booking cards. The other one she loves the music from is Dear Evan Hanson will Check that one out as well.

Think you may find a similar system and it has not opened in London yet.

Tillymintsmama · 07/05/2019 20:12

just out of interest, why are they so strict with this for this show?

Comefromaway · 07/05/2019 20:14

Yes, Hamilton is very strict through ticket master only.

Dear Evan Hansen are available through the Delfont Mackintosh website. It’s a tiny theatre though & demand is high and I got my tickets when it first went on sale as a DMT plus member.

I generally find that for popular shows in advance it’s best to book through the official websites. Ticketmaster booking fees are silly.

For last minute seats, turning up at Leicester Square, Today Tix & a couple of other sites sometimes have offers (I got discount 42nd Street via Theatre Tickets Direct)

SOLT run a Get Into West End Theatre promotion each December & there is Kidsweek where kids go free.

I’m thinking if your dd likes Hamilton & DEH, then maybe something like Jamie or Come From Away might appeal.

Tilly - in the US demand for Hamilton tickets are so high the tours are getting all the tickets and re-selling at crazy prices. The system in London means genuine theatregoers are able to obtain tickets much easier and cheaper as re-selling is not allowed at all.

I've booked a few over the last few days, for foreign students coming over. Even factoring in cashback sites, "offers" and big banners saying "up to 60%off" I've booked Les Miserables, Wicked and Joseph, all cheaper on the direct theatre/show site. The most expensive were through Expedia and Londontheatredirect.
