Has anyone received PIP who hasn't had a face to face assessment?

Dd 16 is a DLA to PIP transfer. Filled in form, posted special delivery Wednesday received Thursday. Got a phone call from IAS Friday to clarify a couple of things and was told she wouldn't need a face to face and report would go to decision maker and I'd hear in six to eight weeks.
They haven't contacted CAMHS because CAMHS were writing a report for me to send in. GP hasn't been contacted either. The reports I did send in were six months old but reasonably current.
Wondering whether it will be an instant refusal or whether it could be positive but have nobody I can ask who hasn't had a face to face assessment.

I didn't. I went from Medium Care High Mobility to standard care and enhanced mobility. I also went straight into support group ESA without a ftf. They just had enough evidence ro make a decision. Good luck.

My son is 16 and didn’t have a face to face assessment.
I sent in everything and got a letter back five weeks later saying he’d been awarded PIP.. Enhanced care and mobility for five years.

Had a previous letter saying they had all info needed and it was going to a decision maker,

We’ve just two weeks ago received a 4 year award for ds with no face to face. He is also 16 and a DLA transfer. I just got a call where he went through a few areas of the form with me. Four weeks later we received the decision.

I think you’ll be fine Smile

I have. Apparently they don't bug you if you're terminally ill, unless you linger too long.

You should be fine. I used to work on pip so I understand the system a little. PIP are mad busy and I think with young rising 16 cases like your son, they try to do a paper review where possible. How long has it been? It may be worth ringing pip and asking if they'll contact GP. Usually ap looks at your evidence then makes a recommendation..it's nothing to worry about, and good luck. Do be very aware though that pip is a completely different benefit to dla so your dd might not get the exact same award.

BitofFun Flowers so sorry to read that, I have enjoyed reading your posts for what seems like years. I hope you are as well as you can be and surrounded by the people you love.

Carol thank you that sounds positive.
Madein thank you, they had only had my form one day when they phoned and said it was going to DWP decision maker.
Duck hopefully it's the same for dd.
Rubberducky thank you.
Hopefully there is something positive then, was so relieved there isn't going to be a face to face as didn't think dd would cope and indeed CAMHS were writing to say she couldn't so it's a huge worry lifted.

I got pip without a face to face, at a higher rate than I expected. I have MH problems, had been in hospital and the MH team filled in my form.
