Thinking of going to cornwall for a week in early july with baby who will be 3.5 months and without a car. Any ideas on where is best to do this with public transport and some nice easy walks by the sea?

St Ives’ accommodation is freakishly expensive, even off-season — no way around it, I’m afraid.

If you can afford it fly and get a taxi the 10 minute ride to Bedruthen Steps Hotel - they are totally set up for babies and can even offer you a creche and some babysitting if you want it. Bound to be other mothers with babies there and have endless supply of high chairs, baby food etc etc.

If you are willing to fly you might also consider the Isles of Scilly - very pedestrian friendly and beautiful walks.

What about Falmouth?
