What gets you up in the morning?

Music wise?
Used to listen to Chris Evans on radio 2 and did switch to virgin with him but he's too 'me, me, me'.
Can't get on with Zoe Ball and her squeaky recorders and habit of calling every female a lovely lady.
Radio 4 is just too highbrow for a gentle intro into the new day.
So what do you suggest? I've got a Sonos system so music floats between the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen so I need something that is upbeat enough to get me out of bed but not too manic.
Suggestions please?

Chris Evans would hurt my brain with all of the noise and excitement, I prefer the new quieter breakfast show.

I listen to Radio Scotland in the mornings. Mostly news and current affairs, followed by a phone in with Kaye Adams.

leave the house at 6am, stick Steve Allan on LBC on the car radio, quite like his acerbic wit to start the day

Sara Cox would get my vote too - her early evening programme is just what I need in the morning.

I do think Sara cox was robbed. I much preferred the breakfast show when she cover led Chris Evan’s holidays.

I too get the 'mameeee' at 5.40am without fail. Other than that it's now bbc breakfast, as I'm struggling with Zoe ball..

Local radio and the cats leaping on my chest.
