Celebrities who look nothing like their voices

Which celebrities would you say don't look like what you would think they would if you just heard their voice alone?

Benedict Cumberbatch. I was aware of him as famous before I'd seen him in anything. He looks like he'd have a thin, reedy nerdy voice. Got such a shock to hear his deep rich velvety tones when I watched Sherlock!

Also Carry Mulligan. Looks like she'd have a wispy little girl voice. She has the female BC equivalent!

I was going to say Jodie Comer too. Saw her on Graham Norton the other week and couldn't believe her accent

This is a bit niche but Andre Saraiva- he’s a graffiti artist but does other stuff too.

Fit but not the voice I’d put with the face at all!

Oddly, my teen showed me a picture of George Ezra the other day, to show me how different he looks from the way he should when you've only heard him sing Grin

I was shocked when I first heard Julie birchill (in the days of her outspoken guardian column), she has the highest girly little voice.

This thread also takes me back to the one years ago about Jon Ronson (old timers will remember that Grin Grin)

I remember when Kate Bush was young and had just become a huge star. It was always a shock to hear her speak. She had a beautiful dramatic look and otherworldly singing voice but had a very girlish speaking voice.

Hardly a celebrity but mine is Andrea leadsom (not sure how to spell and she does deserve the effort to google). I hear her on R4 all breezy captain of the hockey team and raised in a Jilly Cooper novel and she’s actually a viscous bigoted cow bag.

There was someone else the other day I was saying to DH "that shouldn't be their voice" but I can't for the life of me remember who it was now...that's going to bug me for ages!

Cigars, yes to Anton Lesser - I think he’s one of our most under-rated actors, but mostly ‘hear’ him rather than see him - his voice is amazing.

ROger Allam - slightly older and chubbier than he sounds!

Adele has two very different voices. There's nothing in her speaking voice that would ever hint she sings as she does. Having said that she does 'look like' both voices iyswim?

Martin Compston from Line of Duty has a broad Scottish accent like mine, but everyone thinks he's from dan sarf because his accent is so good on LOD.
