How do you leave holiday caravans?

Haven/ Parkdean etc. They never ask for a deposit etc and I’ve never noticed any rules.

I still leave them clean and tidy, I was wondering if this is the norm? Has anyone ever worked cleaning them?

We always leave them clean and tidy, strip beds and take rubbish to the bin then take the key back to reception. I guess if there's a problem they have your phone number and credit card on file but thats what we have always done

We stay in caravans multiple times a year. Just smaller or independent campsites though. Never cleaned anything, it’s just my dad, myself and maybe my partner and always our dog ! It never gets dirty really.
We strip the beds and do the washing up and that’s it’s

We just came back from one of these, we left it clean - the people before us/cleaners did not! Hmm

I always leave them clean and tidy, put bedding by the door, take all rubbish out. Usually there are instructions in the welcome pack that says to leave them clean and tidy etc. The cleaners don't have long to do each one so I think its just a respectful thing to do.

Systematically clean through the rooms, strip beds and leave bedding in the shower.

It’s actually more to make sure I haven’t forgotten/left anything. However it has the added benefit of helping the cleaners.

DH normally takes the kids to the park for a play while I’m doing it so they burn off some energy before the drive home.

I know someone who cleans caravans. They go round cleaning and there's someone behind them checking it's clean.
They get called back for everything - they left a few water spots in the sink today and had to go back.
They say leaving washing up is their biggest pet peeve. They've also had someone throw all the sofa cushions everywhere. Overflowing bins is annoying, as is messing up the beds (flipping mattresses), and leaving food in the fridge and cupboards.
Also please remember to flush the toilets - a few people have left their number twos for the cleaners 🤮

We make a mess by the end of a week, grass cuttings often need sweeping, food crumbs, washing up piles... three youngish kids mess.

Mainly we get clean ones. The worst last year was only the top plate/ bowl in the cupboards was clean. The rest of each pile were caked in grease/ beans etc. The grill pan was awful.

We do the newspaper deals so I’m not sure they even have card details, plus it’s often as little as £40 off peak so hardly seems worth a big clean.

I was just ideally wondering if parks can have a nightmare or people are mainly ok. Cottages in comparison often have a million rules

People are mainly okay, some are a bit forgetful and leave food or items of clothing behind, others are just tosspots and seem to think because it's not their home they can trash the place and not think of the person who has to clear it up. This is one person saying this though who has only been cleaning caravans for maybe a month - I'm sure there are others who have done it longer or during the summer whose opinions differ

Make beds, clean the floors and bathrooms
Wash up and put away crockery etc
Plump up cushions and tie curtains back neatly

Ooops...it’s mine and I like to come back to neat and clean 😂
