I love anything liquorice especially these ones called lentils that I get at the local sweet shop (that has a huge selection of liquorice), they look like tootie frooties and have a crunchy shell which is raspberry flavour.

I'm also partial to a sherbet lemon and fruit flavour boiled sweets.

I don't eat sweets often at all, but I do like haribos, especially goldbears and tangfastics

Parma Violets, I buy the big bags from B&M.
Fizzy (vegetarian) cola laces
Cough Candies (I think that’s what they are called!)

It’s all about the jellies especially the fizzy watermelon slices

Bassets milk bottles my absolute fave and what I ask for on my birthday, no chocolate just milk bottles. Those liquorice sticks with the sherbet going through and a hard candy bit on the end.
I used to love those birdnest things that tasted a bit like liquorice covered in coconut with two peanuts in the middle.
They have stopped making tootie fruities, was on the news a couple of weeks ago.

@imamearcat yes the pink and blue fizzy cola bottles

Ooh OP I'm pregnant and now want ALL THE SWEETS!

I love traditional sweet shop sweets - lemon bonbons, spearmint chews, pineapple or kola cubes, sherbet lemons, strawberry laces, fruit salads and blackjacks.

Anything that gives my jaw a good workout is a winner - sports mix, fruit gums and wine gums especially.

I also love toffees and caramels.

Chocolate I need to be in the mood for.

I might need a trip to the shop...

Yes it's fatal for me that there is a great sweet shop just up the road Grin

Haribo Jelly babies are another of my very favourites. I grew up near Ponteftact where they have a factory and my Mum used to but big tubs of them from the factory shop. I think they were the ones called tiny tots as a bit smaller than jelly babies.

I worked in Ponteftact for a couple of years too and you could smell the liquorice from the factory, was lovely.

Just out of curiosity do you say Pont-e-fract or Pomfret?
Cause my mum taught me Pomfret cakes.

Geekster1963 · 04/05/2019 19:52

Pont-e-fract though usually Pont-e cakes for short.

I get a box of 40 liquorice sticks with the sherbet/sugar in the middle every month from Amazon. I am addicted.

RosamundDarnley · 04/05/2019 21:31

Flying saucers, marshmallow, strawberry bonbons, chewing nuts, cola cubes, sherbet.

aquarterof.co.uk sells all these Grin
