Post spinal surgery, so need to be soft and maybe front fastening? But F-cup, so need to be supportive!

Tesco. Honestly. I’ve had to wear soft bras due to a frozen shoulder and am a 38F. Not front fastening but they swivel round easily - I can’t reach behind. I’m a total convert.

Toodependants · 03/05/2019 19:54

Oooo best, sounds hopeful. And cheap?

BestIsWest · 03/05/2019 21:34

Around £8. I bought 4!

WeepingWillowWeepingWino · 03/05/2019 21:36

Do they dig into your shoulders, Best?

DangerousMouse · 03/05/2019 21:47

Molke - beautiful bras and very soft and supportive, I bought my first one a few weeks ago and have 3 now

WeepingWillowWeepingWino · 03/05/2019 21:52

Ooh, now I’ve seen these and whilst they look super comfy, is there a lot of material going on, Mouse? My underbosom reaches volcanic temperatures in the summer and Molke bras look like they’d be soaked in sweat in no time!

BestIsWest · 03/05/2019 21:53

No, they don’t dig - they have lovely wide straps Grin.

They are not the prettiest but god they are comfy. And the support is ok.

WeepingWillowWeepingWino · 03/05/2019 21:57

They sound good - do you have a link? Sorry to hikack you’re thread, OP - my life seems to be an endless fruitless search for a comfy bra!

EleanorLavish · 03/05/2019 23:04

Bra straps should never dig in to your shoulders. If they are you’re wearing the wrong size bra.
All the support should come from the band, the straps just hold the cups in place, they should be taking the ‘weight’.
Just saying.

EleanorLavish · 03/05/2019 23:04

I saw front fastening bras in m&S the other day.

WeepingWillowWeepingWino · 03/05/2019 23:33

Eleanor I find that having all the weight taken by the band can, in my case at any rate, mean that the band is so tight I feel it almost constricts my breathing. And yes, I have been fitted by Bravissimo and understand how a bra is fitted. Doesn’t always work for everyone, there is no way I can wear the back size Bravissimo say I am, it is too uncomfortable.

Just saying.

EleanorLavish · 04/05/2019 06:54

Comfort Is the most important thing, I agree. I hardly ever wear underwire bras anymore as they aren’t really very comfortable! Even when they fit well.

@WeepingWillowWeepingWino y y to this I find that having all the weight taken by the band can, in my case at any rate, mean that the band is so tight I feel it almost constricts my breathing

I thought it was just me being a princess and pea type person ! .

I buy PJ tops from Bravisimo in the sale and wear them with the back unfastened - bit silly but suits me

I've not found a day time summer soloution ,though Uniqlo has some stuff worth looking at ,this isn't too clingy

and finally link to Molke

I recently bought a bralette from Bravissimo which is sooooo comfy around the band but it is so unsupportive that the straps really really hurt my shoulders.

I think I will try a Molke.

Branleuse · 04/05/2019 09:17

Im a big fan of molke, but you do put them on over the head. Will that be ok after spinal surgery??

I have various "comfort" bras which I just step into as that's easier/more comfortable - is it not possible to do that with the Molke?

Branleuse · 04/05/2019 09:54

I have some of the softer ones too that would be steppable into, but Molke are much more supportive than those, which also means theyre a bit firmer. I think some people could probably step into them but my hips are too big for that

AnotherEmma · 04/05/2019 10:00

I wouldn't recommend Molke as I don't think they are particularly easy to get on and off (I don't have one though).

I recommend the Sugar Candy bra. It's expensive but worth every penny. Sold at Bravissimo and slightly cheaper online eg Poinsettia Style.

peridito · 04/05/2019 10:29

@AnotherEmma what's the fabric of that Sugar Candy bra like in hot weather ?

AnotherEmma · 04/05/2019 10:58

I've never been too bothered by the fabric, and I'm very particular about 100% cotton tops. I don't wear the bra all the time (my 32GGs still look better with scaffolding underwires!) and tbh (TMI alert) i get a bit of boob sweat whichever bra I wear Blush

AnotherEmma · 04/05/2019 11:00

If you want super comfy cotton bras, there's Kindred Bravely on Amazon, but they are not supportive enough for anything other than sleeping in, maybe around the house for a PJ day but I definitely wouldn't leave the house in one!
