Weaning a baby advice please

I'm looking to start introducing puréed food to my baby when he's around 5-6 months old. He's EBF at the moment.
I'd like some advice. I read it's best to give him puréed sweet potato & pear (separately) at first but do I serve them warm and do I water them down when cooking?
Also what ate would I start giving baby lumpy food & meat?

Is there a website or book I could get that helps with these niggly questions?

There’s a weaning forum.

If you wait till 6 months, you can go straight in with baby led weaning - no purées, just food they play with/taste themselves.

Where is the weaning forum?

Annabel Karmel has a range if books that are very simple to follow. It will tell you when and how to introduce new flavours and texture until you get more confident. But as a start steam your sweet potato and if it's a bit thick then add whichever milk your are using for your baby or blue milk after 6 months. Finger foods are really important for babies though.

Once they have hand-mouth co-ordination you can give finger food too. Before that, I found I/DD got frustrated.

A handy guide to lumpy food is the baby purees sold in the supermarket.
