The lovely sayings of 6 year olds

This made me smile:

6-year old Ds has a couple of friends from school round to play the other day. After tea, I let them decorate biscuits with icing and sprinkles. In the excitement, one of the boys knocked a tub of sprinkles into the floor. He looked up at me with an anxious expression to see how I would react.
I said, ‘Don’t worry about that - I have a hoover’
He looked at me with wide eyes and replied in hushed and conspiratorial tones, ‘We also have a hoover.’

It was the cutest thing I’d heard in ages!

Conversation with my 3 year old today:
J: can A my friend from nursery come and play?
Me; who is she? What does she look like (trying to work out if I'd seen her before!)
J: she looks like a dinosaur!

Ds (4) calls Mac Donalds, Hot Donalds Grin its so cute.

He also says me-dah-dum for medium and it is adorable.

On the other hand he told me i had a fat back the other day and when i asked him did he mean flat he said in a very exasperated voice "no mummy its a fat back" HmmGrinBlush

I have some 2 year old logic. 2 bunnies, one called Bluebell as grey in colour. Before we could tell him the brown one was called willow he announced “and this is brown bell”

Mine all say “bless you me” when they’ve sneezed - they’re 10 and 7 now but they’ve always done it!

Me to DD (who was much younger than 6 I hasten to add): "DD, nooo, don't eat your bogies, that's disgusting!"
DD, baffled: "No mum, it's not disgusting. It tastes a bit like crisps."

Ds is now 8 and is slowly growing out of these very sadly, but my favourites were “bits and noodles” instead of having pins and needles from sitting too long, he also said “blesh me” to himself when he sneezed i guess from me saying “bleshoo” to him. He’s a massive wwe wrestling fan

... sorry hit post too soon, and instead of saying ‘intercontinental’ champion, he said “intercontinentinal” which was quite cute but he’s now worked that one out too.

We still do use bits and noodles though it was too cute to be lost!!

Not a saying but....

I babysat one of my best friends' nephew for a few days during the school holidays to save their parents money. He cried and begged to stay at his new friend Chivero's house when they came to pick him up. He was asked where he'd sleep if he stayed and he said he could have a sleep over in Chivero's room.

I'm not sure if I'm an amazing babysitter or if I'm so incompetent that a 6/7 year old considers me a playmate
