Air purifiers for asthma/allergies recommendations

Can anyone recommend a really good air purifier? I've been looking at the Phillips ones which are £300-£400 which I don't mind paying if they work. I have asthma and allergies and need something that really works because I'm suffering at the moment 😫 one that is quiet at night would be a real bonus the one I have now is a homedics tower one and is soooo noisy!

I'm watching with interest as my allergies are through the roof and I've been considering a purifier too.

We have two. Bought from Amazon. I’ll see if they still sell them.

We have spare filters as well.

I was going to say we have the homemedics towers. One for the lounge and one in each bedroom. There is the background noise, but it definitely helps relieve the symptoms.

The Homedics tower I have now which I paid around £200 for doesn't seem to be really helping my symptoms that's why I was wondering if buying one for £400 would be twice as good, looking at the Phillips one does anyone have one and do you think it's worth the money?

Out Levoit ones do a grand job and are now currently on offer for £79

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/04/2019 13:25

We have the silentnight one off amazon and dh is using a lot less ventolin.

HoozTurnIsIT · 30/04/2019 13:28

I bookmarked this review because I'm thinking of getting one.
That Levoit one gets some good reviews.

I'm going to go for the Bionaire as it had permanent washable filters.
